A Time Before the Web

In days of old, before the screens,
We sought our truth in books and dreams.
With library shelves, we’d roam and search,
In every nook, our knowledge would perch.

With patience strong, we’d take our time,
Each page we turned, a mountain to climb.
Dictionaries thick, we learned to read,
Valuable skills were planted as seed.

No instant answers at our fingers’ touch,
Yet every moment felt so much.
Life was slower, yet rich and bright,
A different world, full of delight.
