A Slice of Happiness

Sweet delight, layers,
Celebration in one slice,
Joy on every plate.

Rich cream and fruit abound,
Laughter echoes all around,
Moments shared, hearts unite.

Bonfire

The spark and flame were as bright as a bonfire on a dark night,
Dancing embers in the cool air, casting shadows in the light.
Whispers of stories wrapped in smoke, drifting up to the skies,
Each flicker held a memory, each glow a soft lullabies.

The stars twinkled overhead, like secrets just out of reach,
While warmth embraced our laughter, in a language none could teach.
We gathered close in a circle, our hearts woven tight and near,
The world outside forgotten, as we shared what we held dear.

The crackle and pop, a symphony, played on the wooden logs,
As time slipped by unnoticed, like the fading of the fog.
With every spark that soared and fell, we felt a moment’s grace,
A reminder of the fleeting time, and the beauty we embrace.

So let the flames keep burning, let their light guide us through,
For in each bright reflection, lies the warmth of me and you.
And as the night grows deeper, with stars that shine above,
May we hold on to this magic, wrapped in the comfort of our love.

“I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been given a no, only to find that a better, brighter, bigger yes was right around the corner.” —Arlan Hamilton

Sweet Dreams

Sweet dreams, what are those?
A whisper in the night,
A fleeting tale composed,
In shadows soft and light.

I drift through realms unknown,
Where hopes and wishes play,
Yet in my heart, I’ve grown,
To doubt their gentle sway.

Each night I close my eyes,
In search of slumber’s grace,
But find no lullabies,
Just an endless, quiet space.

What magic do they hold,
Those dreams that others find?
A tapestry of bold,
Unraveled by the mind.

Yet here I stand alone,
A skeptic of the night,
In silence, I have grown,
With no sweet dreams in sight.

So tell me of your dreams,
The ones that make you soar,
For in their glimmering beams,
I wish to dream once more.

The Bucket of Emotions

In a quiet part of my mind, there’s a big bucket,
Collecting all my feelings, each drop I can’t hide.
A little bit of joy dances, a bit of sadness peeks,
With each moment it captures, it holds all my weeks.

From happy hugs to tears that fall like rain,
This bucket gathers stories, both pleasure and pain.
Memories like small stones, they tumble and roll,
Each one a short moment, a heartbeat to hold.

Sometimes it feels heavy, this bucket is so full,
But inside this simple space, emotions push and pull.
I take it with me, through valleys low and high,
A proof of my living, a record of each tie.

So here’s to all the moments, both strong and profound,
In this bucket of feelings, life’s treasures are found.
For every single drop, it shapes the path I take,
A colorful canvas, in every choice I make.

Woven Dreams

Tiny worlds in hand,
Fastening fabric and dreams,
Securing life’s course.

Glimmers of hope rise,
Within each woven thread,
Stories waiting to soar.

In shadows, light dances,
Whispers of joy intertwine,
Crafted tales take form.

With every gentle stitch,
A universe unfolds,
Boundless, yet so small.

Held close to the heart,
These dreams breathe and thrive,
In our palms, they entwine.

Cuddle Delight

Feeling lonely, needing cuddles tight,

Longing for warmth on this cold, dark night.

Arms empty, with no one to hold near,

Wishing for someone to chase off this fear.

Yearning for comfort, a soothing embrace,

But finding solitude in this desolate place.

The need for connection, a longing so deep,

Yearning for love, in my heart it will keep.

Aching for closeness, a touch so tender,

Hoping for warmth, a love that won’t surrender.

Yet in this moment, I’m all on my own,

Seeking a bond that’s still yet unknown.

So I’ll wait for the day when someone will care,

To share in my need for cuddles to share.

Until then, I’ll hold onto this hope so tight,

That one day, I’ll find my cuddle delight

Chuck the Stuck Cow

Your final three words for this week are:
STUCK
CLUCK
CHUCK

There once was a cow named Chuck
Who seems to be stuck, oh what luck!
In the mud he did tread,
With a loud moo he said,
“I’d rather be clucking like a duck!”

Feminist

Fighting for equality
Empowering voices
Making strides for justice
Inspiring change
Nurturing hope
Illuminating paths where fairness unwinds.
Strength in unity
Towards a future where all are unbanned.

Challenge, Poetry, Word of the Day

Preparation

Preparation is what’s needed
To accomplish what you hope,
With each small step and steady aim,
You’ll find your way, you’ll learn to cope.

Each moment spent in focus clear
Builds the path that leads you on;
With courage in your heart, my dear,
Your dreams will wake with each new dawn

Embrace of Healing

Gentle, comforting,
Warm touch to soothe and connect,
Love in every stroke.

Whispers of hope linger,
In the silence, hearts converse,
Binding souls as one.

Through trials, we find strength,
A tender hand to hold us,
Together we rise.

In each softly spoken word,
In every lingering glance,
Trust blooms as we dance.

With every heartbeat shared,
A sanctuary unfolds,
Where peace lives and grows.ve in every stroke.
