BRISTLE
BROOM
BRUSH

There once was a broom with a bristle
It tried to flirt with a brush and whistle
But the brush just sighed
And said with some pride
“I don’t sweep that way, dear broom, I’m not that fickle!”

HANDLE
STICK
POLE

Silly poems are fun to write,

About things both big and slight.

Handle, stick, and pole so tall,

They stand up straight and never fall.

Grab the handle, hold on tight,

It’ll help you with your might.

The stick is thin, the pole is long,

In this silly poem, they belong.

So next time you see a handle, stick, or pole,

Remember this poem, it’s good for the soul!

VAULT
HORSE
RACING

In a vault of dreams,

A horse racing on,

Hooves pounding the ground,

Chasing dreams

Through meadows and fields,

Underneath the sunlit,

Their spirit untamed,

In the race of life

SADDEN
MISPLACE
LOST

Sally was saddened, lost and forlorn,
Fearing her treasure was forever gone.
As tears threatened to fall, her heart in despair,
She searched high and low, her anguish to bear.

Placing her hands on the bed, a glimmer of hope,
To her surprise, her treasure was within scope.
Not lost, but misplaced, a joyous revelation,
Tears of happiness rolled, an end to her frustration.

SINGE
BURNT
ASHEN

I couldn’t think of a rhyme for “singe”
My brain is feeling a bit unhinged
I tried to be clever, I tried to be slick
But my poetic skills are feeling quite “burnt” and thick

I searched in my mind so bright and “ashen”
But found no good words, not even a dashin’
So I’ll end this poem with a clever quip
And hope that you liked it, with just a tiny blip.

Through danger and peril, we push through
With courage and resolve, we shall prevail
And emerge from the depths, stronger without fail.

PANTS
WEARY
SHATTER

Wearing weary pants with a tired seam,
Carrying a burden, like a broken dream.
My spirit feels shattered, frayed and worn,
But still, I carry on, though I feel torn.

A person named Ego had quite the persona,
Always thinking highly, like a majestic iguana.
But deep down inside, beneath the bravado and pelf,
Lay a tiny, insecure, and fragile self.

MISSING

There once was a shortage so sad,
The town couldn’t help but feel bad.
But then came a switch,
And now they’re so rich,
They’re up to their ears in abundance they had! But wait, where’s the missing?

HUMAN
CANINE
FELINE

The canine and feline had a secret wish,
to walk on two legs and live like us,
so they dressed in clothes, trying to deceive,
but all they got were chuckles, hard to believe.

Humans marveled at their quirky attire,
gave them treats and pats, never failing to admire,
though mistaken for humans, for a moment or two,
the canine and feline found joy in the view.

Their wish unfulfilled, yet laughter filled the air,
they realized that being themselves was truly fair,
for the love and joy they brought, as creatures so real,
far outweighed the longing to be what they couldn’t feel.

From their families, they’ll surely hide.
Escape into the night so dark,
Slink away to make their mark.

MESS
MUDDY
MUCK

Petunia the pig, so round and so pink,
Loves to splash in the mud, it’s her favorite drink.
Leaving a messy trail wherever she strays,
Causing mayhem for others in so many ways.

With a snort and a giggle, she’ll roll in the mire,
Leaving behind a scene that others must admire.
But despite the chaos she tends to incite,
Petunia’s joyful spirit is always warm and bright.

So let her revel in her muddy spree,
For Petunia the pig is happy as can be.
