Uncharted

To the voyage unknown
Is the greatest fear of all.
Not knowing what lies ahead,
Yet growth demands we push on through.

The winds of change may roar and call,
Yet courage within us must stand tall.
Embrace the dark, the thrill, the dread,
For only through storms can we be led.

Can You Tell A Story In…

  • EAVESDROP
  • SPACE
  • BURGER

In the quiet burger joint, I could not resist eavesdropping on the next table, their secrets spilling like ketchup, creating a connection despite the vast space between us.

A Call for Understanding

Please take a step back, hear my plea,
Not everything revolves around thee.
You’re not always right, take a pause,
Lend me your ear, consider my cause.

I have some knowledge, a thing or two,
Let’s share our thoughts, me and you.
In this conversation, let’s both be wise,
Open your heart, and we can rise.

Until Change Awakens

Life’s a game, not so hot,
A stagnant pace, a tangled plot.
But something shifts, a light breaks through,
Until then, it’s just me and you.

Inner Tempest

Beneath my skin, a torrent brews,
A tempest waiting, longing to choose.
Boiling water, fierce and wild,
A quiet storm in the heart of a child.

Anger rising, no more contained,
A flame igniting, unchained, unfeigned.
Pounding heartbeat, a restless plea,
This raging fire demands to be free.

In silence it simmers, in darkness it dwells,
A thirst for release, like ringing bells.
The rage inside, a primal song,
A call to break free—I’ve waited too long..

Breaking the Routine

Every day is the same,
Nothing new, just a frame.
In routines, we find our way,
Yet within, sparks long to play.

Everyday moments softly blend,
Time drifts on, around the bend.
In the silence, dreams may bloom,
Breaking free from this dull room.

MLMM Wordle #426

Your words this week are:
leaf, recess, balance, ditch, nothing, blind, change, beauty, donate, buy, bob, natural

In the leaf-strewn recess of a quiet glen,
I found a balance ‘tween now and then.

A ditch carved by time, where reflections flow,
In the beauty of nature, I let my worries go.

Though blind to the chaos that buzzes around,
I change with the seasons, my peace to be found.

To donate kindness, to buy moments bright,
I bob like a feather in soft morning light.

In the Glow of Phones

Here are this week’s prompts:

  1. Write a post inspired by the word phones.
  2. Write a post in exactly 12 sentences.

Silent whispers through the screen,
Connections made, yet unseen.
Fingers dance on glass so bright,
Worlds apart, we share the light.

Messages sent with just a tap,
Moments captured, the perfect snap.
Ringing echoes fill the air,
Voices linger, everywhere.

In the pocket, in our hands,
Life unfolds through text and plans.
Though we’re close, sometimes alone,
A heartbeat shared through our phones.

Finding Your Star

Take a breath, don’t yell or shout,
Ranting and raving won’t help you out.
What you want may seem so far,
But keep on trying, you’ll find your star.

Though answers may not come today,
At least you’ve shown a human way.
In every step, let kindness lead,
For even small acts can plant a seed.

So gather strength, give it a go,
Even if the path feels slow.
You might not get all that you seek,
But in being real, you’ll find what’s unique.

Summer’s Embrace

Muggy outside, I step in a sweat,
My hair’s a frizz, it’s the best look yet!
The sun’s blazing hot, the air’s like a stew,
At least I don’t need a sauna—just step outside, woo!

Tension of Silence

In the examination room,
Pencil dances on the page,
Thoughts like butterflies.
A sneeze breaks the silence—you
Realize you forgot to breathe!

The Tapestry of Etiquette

Here are this week’s prompts:

  1. Write a post based on the word etiquette.
  2. Write a post in exactly 8 sentences.
  3. Tell us what you feel should be taught in school, but isn’t.
  4. If you had the attention of the world for just one minute, what would you say?
  5. Would you rather get rid of 90% of your possessions or 10% of your friends? Why?
  6. Would you rather have no long-term memory or no short-term memory? Why?

In a world where whispers dance with grace,
Etiquette weaves its gentle lace.
From shared glances to polite refrain,
It bridges hearts, easing any pain.

With a nod and smile, respect takes flight,
In every gathering, a guiding light.
So let us honor the threads we coalesce,
For kindness and manners bring us together, no less.

Ritual

WIn the kitchen, there’s a quirky ritual,
I sing to my toast, it’s quite habitual.
I pour the jam with a flourish and spin,
Pretending I’m a chef with a grand, silly grin.

My dog joins in with a barking dance,
As I juggle my eggs, you won’t get a chance!
I drop one on the floor, and oh, what a sight,
Eggs splatter and roll, it’s a breakfast delight!

With cereal flying and milk in my hair,
My morning routine is beyond compare.
If you ever peek in, don’t judge my thrill,
It’s just my funny breakfast ritual!

Have Faith

In the dark when hope feels small,
Whisper softly, hear the call.
When the road seems rough and long,
Hold on tight, be brave, be strong.

Through the storms and skies so gray,
Keep your heart and fears at bay.
For in the end, when shadows part,
You will find joy in your heart.

So when the days are filled with strife,
Just remember, have faith in life.
