Longing for Love

I have so much jealousy inside
I am jealous of
Of couples holding hands
Their closeness
The way love sparks in their eyes for their significant other.

I long for the laughter,
The whispers shared late at night,
The comfort of a warm embrace,
A love that feels just right.

I watch them walk together,
Two hearts in perfect sync,
While I stand on the sidelines,
Lost in thoughts that make me think.

The simple things they treasure,
A glance, a gentle touch,
I crave that kind of magic,
Oh, how I want it so much.

But deep down, I know,
I must learn to find my peace,
To nurture love within myself,
And let the envy cease.

For every heart has its journey,
And every thread its time,
Perhaps one day I’ll find my own,
A love that feels sublime.

Comfortable

When I am with you

I am home

When I am with you

I am comfortable

When I am with you

I feel complete

–

When I am with you

The world feels sweet

–

When I am with you

Time stands still

–

When I am with you

All my fears spill

–

When I am with you

I find my peace

–

When I am with you

All worries cease.

PRIVATE
CUSTODY
MEDALLION

There once was a private soldier,
In a custody battle, he turned to a folder.
Oh, it was no ordinary medallion,
It guaranteed safety—like a shield in a battalion!

Whispers of Truth

I cannot read minds,

Your thoughts like whispered shadows,

Elaborate, please

A guessing game I cannot

Win without the light of truth.

Navigating the Unknown

Oh dear!
I am lost, I cannot tell north from south,
Or east or west, my mind’s a tangled mouth.
With the utmost determination, I tread,
Through shadows of doubt, where my heart has led.

Embracing Imperfection

I strived for perfection my entire life,
Pushing and pushing for completion,
But it never came.
In the quiet, I found solace.
No one is truly perfect.

Soft puppy kisses

Since they only know to love

which will melt your heart

With every gentle nuzzle,

Joy wrapped in fur and warmth.

HANDBASKET
POSY
BOUQUET

Ms. Posy was in charge of one thing, it’s true,
To craft handbaskets bright, and bouquets anew.
With petals like whispers and colors that gleam,
She brought joy to each customer’s dream.

Fear of what’s out there

Forces us to stay indoors

So we can be safe

Safety in the silence here,

Yet the world still calls to me.

COLONY
OUTPOST
RIDERS

In a colony on a sunny day,
Riders laughed and danced in a playful way.
At the outpost, beets grew big and round,
While pies flew high, landing with a sound!

“Look out, Felicity, here comes a treat!”
The riders cheered, “What a silly feat!”
In this joyful place, with smiles so true,
Every day’s a blast—just wait, you’ll see too!

BATH
BASIN
BLOCK

The baboon desperately wanted a bath,
So he searched for a block, feeling quite daft.
He wandered through jungles, up hills, and through glades,
In hopes of a basin, where he could make waves!

I love hamburgers

Well-seasoned patties of beef

Cooked to perfection

Layers of cheese melting slow,

Each bite a savory dream
