Settle the Knight

Oh, once there was a knight named Settle,
Whose armor was quite shiny and metal.
In the jousting ring, he aimed for gold,
But alas, his skills were not that bold.

He clashed and clanged with all his might,
But always ended up with bronze in sight.
He’d hang his head, feeling quite glum,
While the crowd would cheer for the number one.

So Settle the knight, so full of grace,
Would polish his bronze with a sad embrace,
And though he aimed for the highest throne,
Bronze was the metal he made his own.

New Feelings

Originally posted on May 25, 2024

I feel a stirring deep within,
A sensation I can’t quite define.
It’s like a whisper on the wind,
A feeling that is wholly mine.

I’ve never felt this way before,
This rush of emotions so new.
It’s like a wave crashing on the shore,
A feeling that is pure and true.

I’m lost in a sea of unknown,
But I’m not afraid to dive in.
For this feeling has truly shown,
That in this moment, I begin.

To feel things I never thought I could,
To experience life in a brand new light.
I embrace this feeling, as I should,
For it’s leading me to a future bright.

So I’ll cherish this feeling, hold it dear,
For it’s a gift that I never knew.
And as I navigate this uncharted sphere,
I’ll let it guide me, strong and true.
