The Silent Observer

In the corner, she stood there, feeling shy.
Wanting to join with the others, but was scared
Watching as the time and fun pass her by
Afraid about how she would fare.
Wishing someone would give out a dare
Would never back down from one
She handled all things with great care.
Her heart raced faster than any drum.
