This Week’s Writer’s Workshop Prompts
This week, John Holton gives us six writing prompts and we are tasked with choosing one of the prompts (or as many as we want) and writing a post that addresses that (or those) prompts. The prompt I chose this week is 1 and 2
Here are this week’s prompts:
- Write a post based on the word roommates.
- Write a post in exactly 12 sentences (lines).
- What’s something that makes you far angrier than it should?
- Write about something you’ve recently spent a lot of time wondering about.
- If you could change the color of one thing, what would it be and why?
- If you knew you could live forever, how would you spend your days differently?
Here we go!
In a small room with walls so tight,
Two friends share laughter, morning and night.
Dishes pile up, but that’s okay,
We’ll tackle them together, come what may.
Movies at dusk, popcorn in hand,
Late-night talks, dreams we’ve planned.
Sometimes we argue, but then we mend,
In this little world, we learn to blend.
Through ups and downs, we’re side by side,
In this crazy life, we take the ride.
Roommates for now, but friends for life,
Together we grow, avoiding all strife.
Beautiful ode to friendship Missy! ❤
