Chains of the Heart

Rescue me from all that hinders me,
From shadows that weigh heavy on my soul,
Cut through the thorns that bind so viciously,
To find the path that leads me to be whole.

Lift me above the tides of doubt and fear,
Where whispers of despair no longer reign,
In the light of hope, let my heart draw near,
To find the strength to rise beyond the pain.

Let the winds of change blow fiercely, unrestrained,
And shake the chains that keep my spirit down,
In the dawn of clarity, I’ve obtained,
The courage to reclaim my lost renown.

For in my heart, I’ll find a way to see,
The beauty in the struggle, and to be free.
