Seeing What I Refused to Face

I was deluded into believing that you cared,

but deep down I think I always knew the truth.

I kept denying what my heart whispered,

clinging to the hope that you were someone different.

Now the lies have settled,

and I can finally see what I refused to face —

your love was never real, and I deserve more than pretending.
