I Went to Hunt

I went to hunt for wisdom
in a forest made of rhyme,
but all I found were hollow trees
complaining about time.

A squirrel gave a humble bow
and said, “You’re searching far too wide.
The answers that you’re hunting for
are hiding right inside.”

So now I chase my questions
with a grin instead of fear,
because every humble, hollow place
has something bright to hear.

A Giant with Sass

There once was a giant who’d sass,
While sipping from one massive glass.
But a sneeze from his gland,
Shook the whole forest land,
And startled the birds as they passed.

As I Think and Tinker Away

Three Things Challenge MM336

As I think and tinker away,
I leave a trail of quiet lines behind—
soft echoes of the moments
my mind wandered farther than my hands.

Each thought becomes a footprint,
each idea a small lantern dropped
for whoever might follow
the winding path I made.

And though the work is never finished,
the trail is proof I was here—
thinking, tinkering,
shaping something out of the unseen.

Rely On You

Your final three words this week are:
RELY
REBEL
RESENT

I used to rely on you,
Maybe that is what made you resent me,
And caused you to rebel—
But I’m still standing in the quiet aftermath,
Sorting through the echoes of what we were,
Learning how to breathe without your shadow,
And teaching my heart not to flinch
At the memory of your leaving.

In the Morning Light

Your three words today are:
ELEPHANT
EARLY
EARNEST

In the morning light, an elephant strides,
With grace in its steps, where the river glides.
Early to rise, it greets the day bright,
In the soft dawn glow, everything feels right.

Earnest and gentle, it roams the wide land,
A symbol of wisdom, so steady and grand.
Through jungles and savannas, with each grand advance,
The elephant dances, a majestic romance.

Bonfire

The spark and flame were as bright as a bonfire on a dark night,
Dancing embers in the cool air, casting shadows in the light.
Whispers of stories wrapped in smoke, drifting up to the skies,
Each flicker held a memory, each glow a soft lullabies.

The stars twinkled overhead, like secrets just out of reach,
While warmth embraced our laughter, in a language none could teach.
We gathered close in a circle, our hearts woven tight and near,
The world outside forgotten, as we shared what we held dear.

The crackle and pop, a symphony, played on the wooden logs,
As time slipped by unnoticed, like the fading of the fog.
With every spark that soared and fell, we felt a moment’s grace,
A reminder of the fleeting time, and the beauty we embrace.

So let the flames keep burning, let their light guide us through,
For in each bright reflection, lies the warmth of me and you.
And as the night grows deeper, with stars that shine above,
May we hold on to this magic, wrapped in the comfort of our love.

Chuck the Stuck Cow

Your final three words for this week are:
STUCK
CLUCK
CHUCK

There once was a cow named Chuck
Who seems to be stuck, oh what luck!
In the mud he did tread,
With a loud moo he said,
“I’d rather be clucking like a duck!”

Snap, Crackle, Pop

Your three words today are:
SNAP
CRACKLE
POP

Snap, Crackle, pop and you don’t stop,
Morning’s here, let the world hop.
Cereal crunch and milk so cold,
A delightful breakfast tale unfolds.

Taste the magic, bite by bite,
Each little puff, a morning delight.
With every crunch, our spirits rise,
A joyful start, beneath the skies.

Snap, Crackle, pop, the day’s begun,
Adventures await, oh what fun!
So fill your bowl, take a seat,
Life’s simple pleasures are oh so sweet.

Whispers in the Night

SHUDDER
STUTTER
SPLUTTER

In shadows deep, where whispers shudder,
Echoes dance, as thoughts begin to stutter.
A breeze sweeps through, the leaves a-splutter,
Carrying secrets that the night can utter.

Moonlight glimmers on the waters’ face,
Each ripple a story, time can’t erase.
The forest sighs, the stars commence to flutter,
In this quiet realm, the heart starts to mutter.

Yet still, there’s beauty in the faintest glimmer,
As darkness wraps around, the hopes grow slimmer.
But in the stillness, even fears may sputter,
Finding peace in silence, where shadows scatter.

Dance of the Crane and the Spider

Your three words today are:
CRANE
FLY
SPIDER

A crane takes flight across the blue,
With wings that stretch, so bold and true.
Below, a spider weaves its thread,
Crafting dreams where shadows tread.

In the sky, the crane will soar,
While the spider works from shore to shore.
Together they dance in nature’s play,
One in the air, the other at bay.

A Lesson in Laughter

Your three words today are:
COURSE
COARSE
CURSE

In a classroom, a teacher with force,
Taught a lesson with flair and of course.
Though the language was coarse,
It invoked a sly curse,
And the kids laughed in joyful discourse!

A Silly Argument in a Row

Your three words today are:
ROW
ARGUMENT
SILLY

In a cozy café, four friends in a row,
Began a debate that started off slow.
They argued and bickered, oh what a sight,
Over who had the best secret cookie bite.

One claimed it was chocolate, another was nuts,
While one waved her hands, saying, “You’re all butts!”
They laughed and they shouted, it turned quite absurd,
A silly argument with barely a word.

So next time in cafés, if tensions arise,
Just remember to laugh, and share silly pies!

Whispers of Truth

Your three words today are:
PROVE
FALSEHOOD
BLATANT

In a world where truth can often move,
Amidst the shadows, we strive to prove,
That what is real shines bright and clear,
While falsehood lurks, a whispering fear.

With blatant lies that weave and spin,
They cloak the light, inviting sin,
Yet through the darkness, hope takes flight,
For hearts united can restore the light.

So stand we strong against the tide,
With courage bold, we won’t divide,
For in our quest, we’ll always find,
A truth that echoes in the mind.

Wonders Within

Your three words today are:
BOTTLE
BUNG
CORK

In a bottle, dreams reside,
Underneath a wavy tide.
A bung seals secrets held so tight,
Whispers of the stars at night.

Cork pops forth, a joyful sound,
Unveiling tales that leap and bound.
Each drop a journey, rich and bold,
In the bottle, stories told.

Whispers in the Haze

In the humid haze of a summer’s day,
A hoax was whispered, leading hearts astray.
With horrible tales that danced in the air,
Reality twisted, unaware of its snare.

Yet beneath the fog, truth glimmers bright,
A beacon of hope in the fading light.
For in the warmth where shadows might loom,
Love’s gentle touch can still make us bloom.
