Sally wanted to make stir fry.
But all it did was make her cry.
The onions attacked,
Her eyes staged a pact,
So, dinner waved sadly goodbye.
A place to show my work

Your word this week is
CHEW
Chuckles the puppy wanted to chew on a shoe,
He thought, “This smells tasty—I’ll see what it can do!”
He gnawed and he grinned,
Till the laces were thinned,
Then proudly presented his slobbery view.

Oh, Tootsie rolls bring me such cheer,
With flavors I hold oh so dear.
For a sweet, chewy bite,
They make everything right,
A candy that’s loved far and near!

I went for a jog.
While my head was in a fog,
I tripped on a soggy hotdog,
yelled “I’m a pollywog!”—
and swam home through an imaginary bog.

In a lab where the science excels,
They studied the life in the cells.
With microscopes near,
They’d gather each year,
Finding secrets that nature compels.

There once was a fellow named Rich,
Whose ways were a bit of a glitch.
He’d sneak and he’d snitch,
With a mischievous pitch,
In games, he was quite the switch!

There once was a handy old gnome,
In a hallowed-out tree he would roam.
With a huff and a puff,
He’d bake cakes just enough,
Then giggle while serving them foam!

On a day that felt so bleak,
With work troubles at their peak,
I found a friend to talk,
Together we would walk,
Making sadness feel less weak.

There once was a stubborn old weed,
Who grew where no gardener agreed.
But with patience and care,
It transformed something rare—
Proof growth can bloom from any seed.

Sally the Sun wanted some fun,
She dreamed of a bright, merry run.
With her rays all aglow,
She’d outpace the day’s flow,
Chasing light ’til the day was all done.

Yikes! It’s time to rise and shine,
Can’t be late for this event so fine.
With a hurried leap,
Out of bed, I sweep,
Ready to greet the day’s grand design!

There once was a jeep named Jester,
Who loved to explore and to test her.
One day with a beep,
It caused quite a leap,
As he zoomed past a bright yellow jester.

In the desert where history climbs,
The pyramids stand the test of time.
With their stones piled so high,
They reach for the sky,
A marvel of ages, so sublime.

There once was a dog so polite,
Who insisted on dancing each night.
But his wiggles were bold,
And completely uncontrolled—
So the neighbors declared him a sight!

A bird with feathers so bright,
Sang sweetly from morning till night.
With a flutter and twirl,
It would soar, give a whirl,
And fill lonely hearts with pure light.
