Poetry

Blinded by Pride

I was blinded by my pride,
That you were true to me, I couldn’t abide,
Now I am subdued since you have ruined my reputation,
I yearn for privacy, which I feel that I will never have again.

Poetry

Resilience

Contrary to your belief,
I am stronger than you think,
still hanging on,
though edges may fray,
each storm makes me blink.

With scars like my armor,
I rise from the fall,
a spirit unbroken,
I stand through it all.

So doubt if you must,
but my heart will not break,
for deep in my being,
I know what’s at stake.

Poetry

Apology

Acknowledging my mistake,
Promising to make it right,
Opening my heart,
Letting go of my pride,
Only seeking forgiveness,
Genuine in my intentions,
Yearning for your understanding.

Interesting times.
Don’t know what is going.
What the world will be.
I’m sure it’ll crazy.
Just buckle up, buttercup…

For many people, the coffee break is an important but often forgotten part of the day. To celebrate this moment, the town of Stoughton, Wisconsin, holds an annual Coffee Break Festival. The event includes coffee tastings, fun brew competitions, and bean-spitting contests.

The Elusive Search for Tranquility

What is tranquility?
I don’t know.
Whenever I think I’ve found it,
It vanishes right away.

I chase it through the silence,
In whispers of the night,
Yet every time I grasp a piece,
It slips beyond my sight.

A fleeting breath, a soft embrace,
A moment spent in dreams,
Though silent echoes linger still,
It fades like morning beams.

Poetry

Hunger

A hunger has begun, deep and strong,
To chase the dreams where I belong.
Huge things to be had, far and wide,
Even if I must journey alone, with pride.

Poetry

In the Heart of the Crowd

In a crowd, I feel like I’m small,
Wishing quietly not to stand tall.
With a gulp and a sigh,
I just want to hide,
As my heart beats, it echoes the call.
