With my paint-splattered sock and a colorful smock.
Brush in my hand, I danced with delight,
For I feel I have created a masterpiece bright.

Colors swirl and shapes take flight,
A canvas alive, a joyful sight.
In my heart, I know it’s true,
This work of art is a piece of me too.

She wakes with a sigh,
Ready to try,
But doubt fills her mind,
Leaving joy far behind.

Giving it her best,
But feels like a test.
Smiles hide the ache,
Dreams feel like they break.

Others cheer loud,
But she feels lost in the crowd.
Each day feels the same,
Struggling with shame.

Still, she stands tall,
Hiding her fall.

Farewell, my old self, it’s time to part,
You’ve been my companion, close to my heart.
Through every high and every low,
You’ve shaped my journey, helped me grow.

Though I’m moving on to find my way,
I’ll cherish the memories, come what may.
You’re a part of me, forever will be,
Farewell, dear self, I’m setting you free.
