I unwind in a few different ways, depending on the kind of chaos the day served me. Sometimes I grab my iPad and disappear into a cozy game. Other days I doodle, paint, or get lost in something creative. And then there are the days when I just switch into full “do not disturb, I’m recharging” mode and let the quiet do its thing. It’s a rotating menu of peace when I can.

Social Media
I use social media in a few different ways. I like watching videos on YouTube, especially when I want to relax or learn something new. On Instagram and Facebook, I follow my favorite stars, as well as family and friends, so I can keep up with what everyone is doing. I also enjoy writing and sharing my own thoughts here on my blog.
Five Everyday Things
There are many everyday things that bring me happiness, but here are my five at the moment.
- Quiet moments of peace Those small pauses in the day—morning light, a deep breath, a few minutes of stillness—remind me that I’m allowed to slow down.
- Creative expression Writing, shaping words, or even catching a spark of an idea gives me a sense of aliveness and clarity.
- Feeling understood When someone listens without judgment or pressure, it brings a kind of comfort that stays with me.
- Acts of kindness—given or received A gentle word, a small gesture, or simply being treated with softness makes the day feel lighter.
- Moments where I choose myself Setting a boundary, saying no, or honoring what I truly feel gives me a quiet kind of happiness that feels like growth.

“You were born to win, but to be a winner, you must plan to win, prepare to win, and expect to win.” Zig Ziglar

Staples’ iconic red easy button was conceived in a fitting way: During a brainstorming session in 2004, advertiser Leslie Sims said she wished she could simply push a button to create the perfect ad so the team could break for lunch.

What or who is the greatest love of your life?
“My greatest love is my own becoming — the slow, steady work of healing, unlearning, and choosing myself without apology.”

A shopping spree would take me straight to an art supply store — the kind with aisles of sketchbooks, inks, paints, and tools I don’t even know how to use yet but desperately want to try. I’d fill a cart with colors, textures, and possibilities. After that, I’d wander into a cozy bookstore and lose myself in journals, poetry collections, and anything that sparks ideas. My spree would be less about buying things and more about stocking up on inspiration

Daily Prompt 3/8/26

My middle name is Ann. It has no special meaning other than that my mom liked the name Ann. Additionally, it contributes to my initials, MAD, which I find cool.

Everything you’ve ever wanted is on the other side of fear.”- George Addair

Interviews done as part of a 2023 study by the UK’s University of Exeter and Channel 4 revealed that one major trigger of the Sunday scaries was getting work-related emails over the weekend- so keep your computer shut down on your days off.
If it doesn’t challenge me, inspire me, or let me be creative, my brain quietly leaves the room
Performances
Yes, I have had the opportunity to perform many times throughout my life. In elementary school, and continued through high school, where I became actively involved in both concert band and marching band.
Physical Activities
Physical activities and exercise aren’t usually my forte, and I recognize that I should incorporate more of it into my routine. However, if I had to choose an exercise, swimming is definitely my favorite. When I’m in the water, it hardly feels like a workout at all.
In the past, I also enjoyed step aerobics; I took a class back in college and found it to be quite fun. Lately, I’ve developed a bit of interest in boxing, especially after witnessing a demonstration at a work event. It sparked my curiosity!
On That Note
The only podcast I listen to is “On That Note,” hosted by Shawn Stockman from Boyz II Men. Here’s a clip from one of the latest moments where he was interviewing his bandmates.
Kindness
Seeing acts of kindness and caring always makes me emotional. Whether it’s strangers helping each other or sharing special moments, these simple acts of generosity and understanding really touch my heart. It’s uplifting to notice the good in people and how one person can make a positive difference in someone else’s life.
Reclaiming My Voice
One of the things I love most about writing is that I am gradually rebuilding my confidence and realizing that I can be a good writer. In the past, especially during my younger years, I faced a lot of criticism about my writing. Those negative experiences led me to believe I wasn’t capable of writing well, and they made me feel self-conscious whenever I tried to express myself on paper.
Now, as I spend more time writing, I can feel myself becoming more comfortable and sure of my abilities. Every word I write helps me to see that I can convey my thoughts and ideas clearly. It’s a journey, but with every story or poem I create, I am learning to trust myself more and enjoy the process. Writing is not just about the end result for me; it’s also about finding my voice and healing from the doubts that held me back for so long.
Art of Drawing
I really enjoy drawing; it makes me happy and feels good. There’s something special about using a pencil on paper to show my ideas. Whether I’m drawing nature or making abstract art, it helps me express myself in a beautiful way. Drawing gives me a sense of peace, and I often lose track of time while creating something new. I also like to share my art with my readers whenever possible.
Myself
I consider myself a warm, friendly, empathetic, and dedicated individual. I have a strong passion for acquiring new knowledge and always aim to be a good listener and a supportive companion. Honesty, kindness, and authenticity are values I hold dear in myself and others. I believe in treating everyone with respect and understanding, and I’m always open to learning and growing.
Modern Changes
I think we should strive for a community where kindness and understanding are the guiding principles in how we treat one another. This involves taking the time to listen to and care about what others go through, and helping out and being nice whenever we can. By fostering a culture of kindness, we can create a more inclusive and supportive environment for everyone.
Cheesecake Delight
My favorite comfort food is cheesecake. I love the smooth texture and sweet taste of a well-made cheesecake. Whether it’s the classic New York style or a fun flavor like strawberry or salted caramel, I always go for a slice when I want to treat myself and feel relaxed.
