Three Things Challenge #M820

CRINGE
SHUDDER
WOBBLE

Peter the penguin wobbled around,
On the icy snow, he couldn’t be found.
With each step he took, he stumbled and swayed,
His friends all watched, feeling dismayed.

He slipped and slid, oh what a sight,
Peter the penguin, his balance not quite right.
He tried to be graceful, but it was no use,
His awkward dance made everyone confused.

With each clumsy move, he caused quite a stir,
His friends all cringed, it was all a blur.
But Peter kept wobbling, he didn’t mind,
For he knew that soon, his balance he’d find.

So, wobble on, Peter, don’t be dismayed,
Your friends may cringe, but you’ll find your own way.
With each shaky step, you’ll soon find your groove,
And wobbling around, you’ll make us all move.

ROCKY
PEBBLE
STICKY

Rocky had a sticky problem
whatever he touched stuck to him
So he tried as hard as he can
to never touch anything

But one day he forgot
and he picked up a pebble
and tried to skip it across the lake
Once he threw
not only the pebble went flying
so did Rocky.

HOPELESS
NEGATIVE
FLANK

In the land of hopelessness, I stand,
A negative cloud at my command.
But from within, I find a spark,
A light to pierce the dreary dark.

Flanked by doubt on every side,
I let my laughter be my guide.
Though things seem grim and full of woe,
I’ll turn it ’round and let hope grow.

UNLUCKY
THIRTEENTH
SUPERSTITION

On the thirteenth of the month, so it is told
Unlucky superstitions spread, oh so bold
Black cats crossing paths, mirrors that break
Superstitions taking hold, for goodness’ sake!

Avoid the ladders and spilled salt with care
Thirteen, a number some simply can’t bear
But fear not, my friend, it’s all just for fun
Superstitions and myths, when all’s said and done!

So embrace the day with laughter and delight
Thirteenth superstitions, we’ll put up a fight
It’s all just silly, so let’s all just be
Unlucky thirteenth superstitions, let’s set them free!

FARMER
TRACTOR
HORSE

The farmer works the land with care,
His trusty tractor roaring there.
The horse beside him, strong and true,
Together they know just what to do.

Through fields of green, they plow and sow,
Guided by the sun’s bright glow.
Harvest time comes, the fruits are ripe,
Thanks to the farmer, his tractor, and the horse’s might.

Out of the Blue

Out of the blue,

negative thoughts come into my mind.

Need to push them aside,

knowing that they are lies.

Hard to do when,

they are shouting at me.

Need someone to talk to,

to help remind me.

But when I do ,

I feel like a burden.

But with their kind words,

they remind me that I am not.

And to remind to stay strong,

and to know my worth.

So that is what I am doing,

pushing the negative thoughts away.

There once was a man named Ed,
Whose customs filled him with dread.
He tried a new method,
To break from tradition,
And now he’s much happier instead.

Weekend Writing Prompt #380 – Auction

A word prompt to get your creativity flowing this weekend.  How you use the prompt is up to you.  Write a piece of flash fiction, a poem, a chapter …

Weekend Writing Prompt #380 – Auction

At the auction, dreams are sold to the highest bid,
Where hopes and desires are on display, carefully hidden.
Eager hands wave, eyes alight with anticipation,
As treasures change hands in a whirl of fascination.
Bidding wars ignite, passions roaring with might,
As fortunes shift under the auction’s enigmatic light.
Amidst the enthusiasm, remember this crucial plea,
True riches are found within, not under the auction’s decree.
As treasures change hands in a whirl of fascination and delight.

With all the gloom and doom, a shopping spree is needed
To ease the gloom away, off to the mall as pleaded
Riding the escalator, soaring to retail delight
Exploring all the shops, with purchases in sight
Bags filled with treasures, a day of pure glee
With all the gloom and doom, a shopping spree is the key
