Navigating Darkness

Had therapy today,
Started off rough but ended better.
Black cloud that was hanging over my head
Not fully gone away but is less.
Obtained skills to help through the struggle.
I learned I need to let the negative thoughts float away.

Sometimes the path is dark and unclear,
But a glimmer of hope appears near.
Therapy brings light and a guiding hand,
Easing the burden, helping me stand.
The black cloud may linger, but I’ll find my way,
Learning to let the negative thoughts float away.

Uniquely Me

Throughout my childhood, I was called weird
For the things that I liked, for the paths that I steered.
In a world full of patterns, I danced to my drum,
With dreams in my pocket and glitter in my hum.

I climbed trees of imagination, soared high in the sky,
Painted rainbows on walls where no limits applied.
While others found comfort in molds that were set,
I reveled in oddities, with no hint of regret.

Whispers behind me, like breezes they blew,
Judgment and laughter, but my spirit just grew.
For every odd quirk, every strange little spark,
Was a gem in the darkness, a light in the dark.

Embracing the quirky, the unusual, the rare,
I learned to find beauty in all that I wear.
Now I stand tall, with my head held up high,
A tapestry woven of laughter and sighs.

So, here’s to the weird, the different, the bold,
To the stories we share and the truths we unfold.
In this kaleidoscope life, let your colors run free,
For the weirdest of hearts is the most truly free.

My Escape

Painting is my refuge when anxiety takes hold,
A soothing balm for thoughts that incessantly unfold.
With each stroke of the brush, my worries start to fade,
Transforming onto a canvas, a beautiful escapade.

In colors and shadows, my spirit finds release,
Each line a gentle whisper, each curve a form of peace.
Within this quiet world, my heart begins to mend,
As I create in stillness, my companion and my friend.

Challenges, Poetry

On Edge

A few words and now I am on edge,
Thoughts swirling fast, like leaves on a hedge.
The world feels heavy, shadows creep,
Lost in worries that won’t let me sleep.

A kind smile, a gentle tone,
Can chase away the thoughts I own.
So I breathe deep, let calmness in,
Finding peace where doubts have been.

Step by step, I’ll find my way,
One bright moment can change the day.
A few words spoken can ease the dread,
And lift me up, on joy instead.

A Quiet Lesson

The wind spoke softly through the trees,
A whisper carried on the breeze.
Not every truth comes loud and bold—
Some lessons bloom as hearts unfold.
A fallen leaf, a fading light,
Can teach us grace in saying goodnight.
No need for thunder, grand display—
The lesson lives in everyday.

Victoria Testament

The remnant piece of rag,

A symbol of strength and hope,

In Victoria’s hands it lay,

A testament to resilience.

Tattered and worn, yet cherished so,

It held memories of struggles,

But through it all, it stood tall,

A reminder of perseverance.

Poetry

Still

Still
searching for the light,
Still
fighting through the doubt,
Still
carrying this hope,
Bringing dreams about.

Still
holding onto visions,
Still
yearning for the truth,
Still
believing in the future,
As I embrace my youth.

Still
finding my own way,
Still
learning how to be,
Still
the heart that craves connection,
In this journey, I am free.

Poetry

I Desire

I desire for closeness,
Does not have to be a lover,
A gentle touch, a whispered truth,
In the silence we can uncover.

A shared laugh in the fading light,
Moments wrapped in warmth’s embrace,
Friendship deep as a starry night,
In the company, we find our place.

Conversations that flow like streams,
Eyes that catch and hold the gaze,
In simple things, we find our dreams,
A bond that shifts through time’s maze.

So let us walk this life together,
Through every joy and every test,
In the tapestry of now and forever,
It’s the closeness that makes us blessed.

Whispers in the Night

SHUDDER
STUTTER
SPLUTTER

In shadows deep, where whispers shudder,
Echoes dance, as thoughts begin to stutter.
A breeze sweeps through, the leaves a-splutter,
Carrying secrets that the night can utter.

Moonlight glimmers on the waters’ face,
Each ripple a story, time can’t erase.
The forest sighs, the stars commence to flutter,
In this quiet realm, the heart starts to mutter.

Yet still, there’s beauty in the faintest glimmer,
As darkness wraps around, the hopes grow slimmer.
But in the stillness, even fears may sputter,
Finding peace in silence, where shadows scatter.
