The Fashionable Character

Once there lived an individual named Trinity,
Whose attire was marked by supreme elegance and variety.
In silken gowns so fine,
And suits sleek as wine,
Their fashion sense became their true identity.

The Mysterious Missing Piece

In a town filled with sorrow and dread,
A shortage left everyone dead.
Then a change brought delight,
Now they’re wealthy and bright,
But what’s this? Where’s the missing thread?

MAD Missy’s Art Challenge

While working on this, I thought it would be interesting to turn it into a challenge and see what others can create based on the artwork I drew. So, if you choose to accept, your challenge is to come up with something that complements the artwork. There are no specific rules—just use your imagination! I may continue with this idea, so let me know what you think.

Poetry, Three Things Challenge

Exit Stage Left

Your three words today are:
FARCE
RIDICULE
COMEDY

Was our friendship a farce,
Where you could ridicule me?
Was it a comedy show
For you to get your laughs in, free?

Did you play the leading role,
While I sat in the crowd,
Hoping for a moment,
When you’d lift me from the shroud?

Were my secrets just punchlines,
My heart a joke on display?
I sought a bond and connection,
Not the cruelty of your play.

Yet here I stand, unbroken,
No longer part of your scene,
I’ll rewrite my own story,
Where I’ve learned to be seen.

So take your laughter, your mockery,
And leave me to find my way,
In a world where friendships flourish,
And genuine hearts can stay.

Antarctica is the only continent without any reptiles or snakes.

“Not only does the elusive continent of Antarctica lack McDonald’s joints – but it also doesn’t have any of our lizard friends. Why? Well – we all know that reptiles are cold-blooded – so they can’t produce their own heat. Meaning, they’d get turned into popsicles in the frosty Arctic.”- Fact.com

Reclaiming My Voice

Daily writing prompt
What do you enjoy most about writing?

One of the things I love most about writing is that I am gradually rebuilding my confidence and realizing that I can be a good writer. In the past, especially during my younger years, I faced a lot of criticism about my writing. Those negative experiences led me to believe I wasn’t capable of writing well, and they made me feel self-conscious whenever I tried to express myself on paper.

Now, as I spend more time writing, I can feel myself becoming more comfortable and sure of my abilities. Every word I write helps me to see that I can convey my thoughts and ideas clearly. It’s a journey, but with every story or poem I create, I am learning to trust myself more and enjoy the process. Writing is not just about the end result for me; it’s also about finding my voice and healing from the doubts that held me back for so long.

Laughing Along with a Limerick, Poetry

Rocky’s Wavy Adventure

There once was a raccoon named Rocky,
Who thought that the boat was quite stocky.
He’d hop and he’d rock,
Making waves like a clock,
In his boat, he felt very frocky!

Poetry

Uncharted

To the voyage unknown
Is the greatest fear of all.
Not knowing what lies ahead,
Yet growth demands we push on through.

The winds of change may roar and call,
Yet courage within us must stand tall.
Embrace the dark, the thrill, the dread,
For only through storms can we be led.

Mindful Moment

To listen mindfully to someone else, focus entirely on them. Take natural breaths and pay attention to their words. If thoughts come to mind, gently release them and refocus on what the speaker is conveying. Hold off on responding until you’ve heard everything they want to share; avoid jumping to conclusions about their message.

Triumph After Rain

I have been on trial for the last couple of months
Trying my hardest to get through the pain
But with each new day, something new comes my way,
Each struggle feels heavy, like a weight on my brain.

I search for the light through the dark and the rain,
Holding on to hope, though it’s hard to explain.
Some days are bright, and I smile with ease,
Other days I falter, brought down to my knees.

But I keep on dreaming, and I won’t lose my fight,
For every new dawn brings a chance to feel right.
Step by step, I’ll find my own way,
Through trials and troubles, I’ll learn to be okay.
