Battles No One Sees

Laughter ringing in my ears
mind going a mile a minute
believing they are laughing at me
But is that true, or is my mind playing a trick?

These are my daily struggles.
Not knowing what is true and what is a lie.
Trying to steady myself
in a world that tilts without warning,
where every whisper feels sharp,
and every glance feels loaded.

I breathe,
hoping the noise will quiet,
hoping my thoughts will soften
long enough for me to remember
that not every shadow is a threat,
and not every echo is about me.

Some days I win that battle.
Some days I don’t.
But I keep trying—
and that has to count for something.

Battle Within

I battle with my thoughts on a daily basis,
A whirlwind of whispers in a quiet space.
Shadows of doubt dance in my mind,
Searching for clarity, hoping to find.

Yet in the chaos, a flicker of light,
Guides me through darkness, into the bright.
With each wave of struggle, I stand and I fight,
For peace in my heart—the true inner might.
