Journey Through Time

Your challenge for the week

  • If he could turn back the hands of time

If he could turn back the hands of time,
He’d visit the moments that felt like a rhyme.
He’d walk through the fields where laughter once played,
And hold on to memories that never did fade.

He’d gather the smiles and the joys of his youth,
Embrace every lesson, find comfort in truth.
He’d find the dear faces he wished he could see,
And relive the moments that meant the most to him.

But deep down he knows, as time rushes past,
Each memory counts, even the ones that don’t last.
For every good day and the tears that he cried,
Make him who he is, with nothing to hide.

So if he could turn back the hands of time,
He’d cherish each second, let love be his guide.
For life is a journey, both simple and grand,
And in the present, he’ll take a strong stand.

Poetry

Embracing the Light

In a world where thoughts can race,
Sometimes we need a softer space.
A gentle hand, a knowing ear,
To help us through the doubt and fear.

When shadows fall, and skies turn gray,
Take a breath, it’s okay to sway.
Your feelings matter, let them flow,
Like rivers carve the land below.

Each day is new, a fresh start found,
With tiny steps, we stand our ground.
It’s okay to feel both joy and pain,
Like sunshine mixed with gentle rain.

So reach for help, don’t be shy,
You’re not alone, just look up high.
With love and care, we’ll find our way,
Together, brighter comes the day.

A Flicker of Hope

My attempt was a spectacular fail.

Why do I even bother?

Nothing goes right at all.

Sometimes I wonder why I even try.

Is there someone who cares for me?

Just put me above all.

I search for a light, a flicker of hope

Yet still I rise, though weary,

Cling to dreams through the scorn.

Poetry

Finding Stillness

My mind feels like a heavy stone,
Thoughts are tangled, all alone.
Trying to think but words won’t flow,
Worn out feelings steal the glow.

Clouds of worry swirl around,
In this stillness, no bright sound.
Just a sigh, a need for rest,
To quiet all and do my best.

A little peace, a gentle break,
To clear my mind for my own sake.
Then slowly, softly, I’ll unwind,
And find the strength back in my mind.

In the Quiet of the Night

In the quiet of the night,
When the stars are shining bright,
I will come and sit with you,
Just to share what you’re going through.

When you’re feeling down or blue,
Know that I will be for you.
A hand to hold, a heart to hear,
Together we can face the fear.

If the road feels long and wide,
I will walk right by your side.
In laughter, tears, and all between,
You’re my friend, my heart has seen.

So, when the world feels cold and rough,
Remember, friend, you are enough.
I’ll be there through thick and thin,
A loyal friend, your strength within.

Poetry

Waiting for Love

Billions of people around the world

Idling going about their business, some,

longing for companionship, believing

love is the answer, but is it really

only time will tell

will you stay and wait.

Poetry

Finding a Way Up

I sink lower

then ever

before

Nothing is working

I’m stuck

now

What to do

to get

out

Does anyone care

for me

ever

Yes they do

need to

look

Poetry

Whispers in the Shadows

Shadows softly creep,

Whispers of deceit linger,

Secrets in the dark.

Yearning to break free right now.

To wreck havoc among us

Poetry

The Embrace of Time

Time’s fleeting embrace,
In the dance of days and years,
Memories count down.
Time slipping through our fingers
We must embrace the present.

Poetry

The Nimble Bat

There once was a bat named Sara,

Who worried her size like a para.

She practiced each night,

In the moon’s silver light,

Now she’s nimble and light as a feather!

Poetry

Maggie’s Skyward Quest

Maggie was set on a quest,

To soar high, she would give it her best.

With hard work in her stride,

She dreamt of the sky wide,

Aiming to be the first and the best!
