The canine and feline had a secret wish, to walk on two legs and live like us, so they dressed in clothes, trying to deceive, but all they got were chuckles, hard to believe.
Humans marveled at their quirky attire, gave them treats and pats, never failing to admire, though mistaken for humans, for a moment or two, the canine and feline found joy in the view.
Their wish unfulfilled, yet laughter filled the air, they realized that being themselves was truly fair, for the love and joy they brought, as creatures so real, far outweighed the longing to be what they couldn’t feel.
