The Question

Am I truly alive or am I pretending to be,
That is the question that I ask myself daily.
In shadows I wander, lost in the fray,
Searching for meaning that slips away.

Each heartbeat a whisper, each breath a disguise,
Yet in all of the doubt, a spark still lies.
For to question is live, to seek and to yearn,
In the dance of existence, I still will return.

Redefining Weakness

Daily writing prompt
What is one question you hate to be asked? Explain.

One question I dislike is, “What’s your biggest weakness?” It feels awkward to talk about my flaws when I’m trying to show my good side. This question often makes people feel like they need to make their weaknesses sound better, which can seem fake. It’s more helpful to focus on our strengths and how we can use them to grow, rather than worrying about what we struggle with.

Three Things Challenge #M943

QUICK
QUESTION
QUIVER

Quincy Quakers was quivering in his boots.
He was next up in the challenge.
If he gets the question quick before his opponent, his team can win.

Whispers in the Fog

I question many things.
Nothing gets settled,
And I have this constant fog of chatter going on in my head
As I go through the day.

When will it ever end?
I do not know,
Like whispers in the wind,
They swirl and flow.

Thoughts drift like shadows,
Lost in the haze,
Each one a puzzle,
Through life’s tangled maze.

But maybe there’s light,
Beyond this thick shroud,
A moment of clarity,
To break through the crowd.

So, I take a deep breath,
And try to find peace,
Hoping this turmoil
Will someday release.
