From the Edge Back to Myself

https://thedailyspur.wordpress.com/2026/07/20/cut/

Your words cut like a knife.
My self‑worth split in half since my teenage years.

What did you gain from what you said?
I know I shouldn’t let it get to me—
but that’s easier said than done.

Day in and day out, I hear your words
trying to convince me
that I’m not good enough,
that no one cares,
that I’m not worth it,
that I’m only bothering others,
that I’m a waste of space,
meant to be hidden, not heard.

Each day is a struggle.
But I am determined
not to let you win.
