Embracing Serenity

Worry consumes like fog that’s here to stay,
Anxious thoughts entwined, they lead me astray.
Emotions run wild, like a storm on the sea,
Yet deep in my heart, peace whispers to me.

It wraps around troubles, a soft, gentle light,
Calming the chaos that dances at night.
Though shadows may linger and doubts may arise,
In the end, it’s serenity that opens my eyes.

So I’ll breathe in the calm, let go of the strife,
Embracing the stillness, reclaiming my life.
For although worry clings, it cannot control,
The tranquility found in a soothed, steady soul.

In Caring for Myself

Your three words today are:
WORRY
CONCERN
CARING

In shadows deep, my worry grows,
A seed that whispers, never slows.
With every thought, my heart will churn,
As I watch the world, my spirit yearn.

Each concern of others, I hold so tight,
Their burdens heavy, I feel the weight of night.
In my caring heart, I lose my way,
Forgotten self, in the fray of day.

I tend to their needs, their sorrows I share,
But in the mirror, I find no care.
With gentle hands, I must learn to mend,
To hold my own heart, to be my own friend.

So I’ll breathe deep and let worries part,
For in caring for me, I’ll heal my heart.
With balance found, I’ll rise anew,
In caring for myself, I’ll be strong for you.

Future worries

What are you most worried about for the future?

I am not going to lie and say that I don’t have any fears for the future because I have many. One of the main ones is that I will end up alone without someone by my side to encourage me and help me navigate through life.

The thought of being alone can be daunting, especially when considering the uncertainties and difficulties that life may present. Having a partner, friend, or family member to lean on during tough times can provide a sense of comfort and reassurance. Whether it’s for emotional support, practical advice, or simply having someone to share experiences with, the presence of a supportive companion can make a significant difference.

I am working on this and I will continue to work on this fear.

Worry consumes like fog that’s here to stay,
Anxious thoughts won’t seem to go away.
Emotions running wild, hard to control,
But in the end, peace consoles the soul.
