Writing Exercise (Tue Nov 12 2024)

Today’s writing exercise is: “Write a personification of some non-human entity”. Example: The autumn leaves danced and whispered in the wind as if sharing secrets with each other. Writing Exercise (Tue Nov 12 2024)

Okay this one I use all the time when I am teaching kids what personification is:

The pencil danced across the paper as words began to flow.

Writing a rengay
Is quite difficult some say
I find it like play
The words dance in harmony
Crafting thoughts, they flow like streams

Turning gears align
Momentum builds beneath steel
Strength in motion flows
Flowing forever like time
From here to infinity…

Power of Motion

Turning wheels with purpose and might,

Overcoming obstacles, reaching new heights.

Rotating forces that drive us along,

Quietly powering, strong and long.

Unleashing energy, a thrill in the air,

Engine’s heartbeat, a mechanical flair.

Mickey Mouse Artwork

I’ve discovered that drawing Mickey Mouse is quite challenging. Out of all my attempts, this one is the best.

Defiant daisies
Grow through the hardest concrete
Beautiful protest
In an unjust world, we live
Beauty will surely prosper

With a steady heart
Confidence in every step
The path is clear now

Pets

What is good about having a pet?

Pets offer companionship that can help alleviate loneliness and give their owners a sense of purpose. Whenever I come home to my dogs, I feel reassured knowing they care for me and seek my love and attention. Their presence significantly reduces my loneliness.

Whispers of Eternal Day

Day without a night
Midnight, yet it’s midday bright
Darkness far from sight
Whispers dance on gentle air
Time stands still, a moment rare

Behind these cold walls
time stretches like silent chains
hope flickers within
All positivity fades
and dies a slow painful death…

Art Treehouse

I had a wonderful time drawing and coloring this doodle of a tree house. It was a relaxing activity that allowed me to express my creativity. As I worked on it, I imagined all the fun adventures that could take place in such a space.

In the future, if I decide to draw another tree house, I will definitely focus on adding more details to make it even more vibrant and interesting. I want to include elements like a swing hanging from a branch and maybe even some little characters enjoying their time there.
