Whispers of Winter

Special thanks to my collaborator, Anthony

I love winter’s lips
Cold but not nearly too cruel
Ice touches us all.
Whispers of snowflakes drift down,
Frosty breath upon my cheeks.

Fading Hope

Special thanks to my collaborator, Anthony

It’s absurdity
With both left to believe
Just fake rhetoric.
The truth begins to grieve now.
In shadows, hope starts to fade.

Daily Prompts

Say

Tell us one thing you hope people say about you.

I hope people say that I was nice to everyone. It would mean a lot to me to know that I treated others with kindness and respect. I strive to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere wherever I go, whether it’s offering a smile to a stranger, lending a listening ear to a friend, or helping someone in need. I believe that small acts of kindness can have a big impact on people’s lives, and I aim to make each interaction meaningful. If people remember me as someone who made them feel valued and appreciated, I think that would be a wonderful legacy to leave behind.

KNOCK
JEST
FELL

There once was a fellow named Knox,
Who knocked on a door made of rocks.
With a jest and a yell,
He tripped and fell,
Now he’s stuck in a box with the socks!

ISSUE
INSIST
INFERIOR

Beneath the bright sky,
An issue blooms like a rose,
Some insist on flaws,
Claiming love is inferior,
Yet hearts elevate us all.

Awakening Veil

Grey-white misty veil
Touching all in moist contact
A morning dew’s kiss.
Sunbeams filter through the haze,
Awakening to greet day.

Embracing the Present

Choice of happiness
Will ensure no conditions
For the achievement.
Let joy arise in each day.
Embrace the light within you.

The Silent Hunter

Hippopotamus
Lurking below the water
Waiting for something
Wading slowly through the stream.
He suddenly saw his prey.

December Poem: Collab with Carol Anne

Darkness falls early in the night

Every whisper of the wind seems to echo through the shadows.

Crisp air whispers winters near

Eerie silence blankets the world, as nature prepares for sleep.

Moments of reflection, of love shared and given,

Brings warmth to the heart, even as the chill settles in.

Embrace the warmth, love lights the way

Radiant memories flicker like stars in the night.
