On August 1 in Prehistory…

Edmontosaurus 

67 million years ago, a group of Edmontosaurus alternated between eating vegetation and watching for predators like T. Rex. These “duckbill” dinosaurs grew to fifty feet (15 meters) long and four tons (4,000 kilograms) in weight. Mostly quadrupedal, they could run on their back legs to flee danger.
