Drippity Drop

Drippity drop, off to trot,

Skipping puddles, lost in thought.

Nowhere in sight, yet off to seek,

Wandering dreams, mild and meek.

Drippity drop, whispers grow,

Patterns in the rain that only I know.

What to do? I do not say—

Drippity drop, and I’m swept away.

“Reading is to the mind, as exercise is to the body.” – Brian Tracy

Legendary musician Miles Davis, born on May 26th, maintained a strict protocol of pre-show rituals. He avoided shaking hands with anyone before performances, wore shoes that were a size too small, and declined all food and sexual activity prior to appearing on stage, purposefully leaving himself hungry and unsatisfied.

The Journey of Freight

In the stillness of the night,
A train rolls by, a distant sight,
Carrying dreams, both heavy and light,
Across the tracks, with all its freight.

From bustling cities to fields so wide,
A journey taken, with hope as the guide,
Through valleys and hills, side by side,
The heartbeat of the world on a timeless ride.

With every cargo, a story to tell,
The weight of the past in each sturdy shell,
Onward it travels, through rain and through swell,
This life of freight—a life lived well.

Man With A Pot

There once was a man with a pot,
Who always wore a stylish bowtie and top hat,
His loyal and loving pet,
Would often get wet,
From all the droplets the pot splashed on the cat!

“My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive.” – Maya Angelou

Presidents are not allowed to drive cars. The provision stems from security and safety concerns on the part of the Secret Service. There is one exception. Presidents can peel rubber on private roadways

Poetry

Embrace of Silence

In silence, I find my home
A sanctuary all my own
Where thoughts can freely roam
And peace is grown

Through quiet moments, deep and true
My mind finds space to sift and strew
Each feeling, thought both old and new
Until my heart shines through

In stillness midst the world’s loud race
I find my calm, my healing space
Where chaos fades without a trace
In silence’s sweet embrace

Soft caress of air
Whispers secrets of the world
Nature’s softest sigh
Standing still you can hear it
And share all of its wonder…

Silent Wishes Under the Stars

A twinkling star bright at night.
Where everyone makes their wishes.
So they do not end up in plight
Deeply wanting all the riches
Whispered hopes in silent ambition
A guiding light for all who dream.
In the dark, I silently wish.
As the moon casts its silver gleam.

“We all die. The goal isn’t to live forever, the goal is to create something that will.” Chuck Palahniuk

Around 1781, during his time as minister to France, Benjamin Franklin put pen to paper to tackle a rather unusual topic. Not liberty, diplomacy, or trade relations — but flatulence. “It is widely recognized,” the esteemed statesman and polymath noted, “that the digestion of our everyday food produces a significant amount of gas in the intestines of humans.” And it only gets more interesting from there.

Ancient trees stand tall
Whispered tales of time and life

Voices of the past
Rippling through the canyon walls
Memories return
Nothing can damn their current
Flooding out in a torrent…

Chasing Joy

My dog runs fast, he loves to play

With wagging tail, he leaps so high

Chasing butterflies that flicker by

My dog runs fast, he loves to play

With wagging tail, he leaps so high

Wanting to see how high he can go

Catching those butterflies are his top priority

With wagging tail, he leaps so high

My dog runs fast, he loves to play

With wagging tail, he leaps so high

Chasing butterflies that flicker by

My dog runs fast, he loves to play
