CRINGE
COWER
BRUISE

I cringe and cower when I hear yelling
The pain and past bruises in my mind appear
Reminding me of past times, my heart is swelling
With memories that fill me with fear.

But I stand tall and face the day
Knowing that I am stronger now
Those painful memories may never go away
But I won’t let them hold me down.

CLOCK

MOCK

Tick-tock goes the clock,
It’s time to dance and rock.
Don’t mock, just join the flock,
And let’s have fun around the clock!

Honesty in Law

Larry the lawyer can tell no lie
His honesty shines, you can’t deny
In the courtroom, he stands so tall
His integrity admired by all

With every word, his truth is clear
Clients trust him, without any fear
No deception, no deceit in sight
Larry’s honesty is his guiding light

Hometown

In the heart of my hometown, memories reside,
Where laughter and tears, in harmony, confide.
Familiar faces, streets I know by heart,
A place of belonging, a cherished start.

Mercy

Oh, mercy me, the times we are living in,
Natural disasters, food being stolen,
No one seems to care about anyone else but themselves,
I am scared for what lies ahead.

The world seems to be in disarray,
With troubles and worries at every turn,
It’s hard to find a sense of peace,
When so much around us seems to burn.

Oh mercy me, the times we are living in,
Let’s strive for kindness and empathy,
For in caring for each other,
We can create a better world for you and me.

Wireless

Tracy tirelessly watched the wireless,
For her artist to come on and inspire.
She was determined to stay on, even late into the night,
But her body had other plans, it did tire.

Slowly but surely, her eyes closed, drifting to sleep,
Not long after, her artist appeared on the wireless,
She missed the moment, her heart began to weep,
But she knew tomorrow, she would again be tireless.

Candy Corn Artwork

Candy corn is one of my favorite candies, especially during Halloween when its bright colors bring joy and nostalgia. The yellow, orange, and white remind me of childhood memories of trick-or-treating. I wanted to draw a cute piece to add to my collection, capturing its playful charm as it stands out with a delightful simplicity that always makes me smile.

In a robe so fine, he did ordain,
To dance and sing in the pouring rain,
His laughter echoed like a joyful train,
In his colorful, flowing robe, what a sight so plain!

CRUMB
NUMB
THUMB

I have a craving for a tasty crumb,
A tiny treat that makes me hum.
I eat it up, then feel so numb,
But it’s worth it for my tasty sum.

Anger – Artwork

20241010_1130307259862876773892939

I thought this one would be perfect to share today since it is the emotion I am feeling at this time. I love how the fire on his head came out. Back when I was coloring this, I was trying to go for a blended look with the flames, aiming to capture the fluidity and movement within them. I think that it came out really well, as the colors not only bring the flames to life but also mirror the tumultuous feelings inside me, creating a deeper connection to the artwork.

Longing

I have a longing for something undefined,
Each day it grows, in my heart, entwined.
A yearning for something I cannot name,
An elusive desire, like a flickering flame.

It tugs at my soul, a mysterious allure,
A yearning so deep, so pure, and so sure.
I seek it out, though I know not what for,
This unnamed longing, I can’t ignore anymore.
