Hungry hawk circles

Looking for some smaller prey

All rodents, beware

Danger is lurking nearby

Protect others and yourself…

Chunks of masonry

Crack up and fall around you

As the earth trembles

Nature’s power on display

Shaking everything it holds

Enjoy Writing ?

What do you enjoy most about writing?

I think mine is going to be a different answer than everyone else. What I enjoy most about writing is that I am slowly gaining my confidence back that I am a good writer. I had many occurrences throughout my younger years when my writing was put down. So, I gained a mindset that I could not write, and I became very self-conscious whenever I did.

Poetry

Reverberate

In the stillness of the night, memories gently reverberate,
Through the corridors of time, they softly resonate,
Echoes of laughter and tears intertwine,
In the chambers of the heart, they enshrine,
Timeless, bittersweet melody, forever innate.
Amidst the silence, their whispers still resonate.

Lies a handkerchief, delicate and sweet.
Lace adorns its corners four,
Ready to wipe a tear or a little bit more.

There once was a broom with a bristle
It tried to flirt with a brush and whistle
But the brush just sighed
And said with some pride
“I don’t sweep that way, dear broom, I’m not that fickle!”

HANDLE
STICK
POLE

Silly poems are fun to write,

About things both big and slight.

Handle, stick, and pole so tall,

They stand up straight and never fall.

Grab the handle, hold on tight,

It’ll help you with your might.

The stick is thin, the pole is long,

In this silly poem, they belong.

So next time you see a handle, stick, or pole,

Remember this poem, it’s good for the soul!
