Whimsical Potato and Tomato Patch

In a patch, a potato met a tomato,
Said the potato, “You red thing, you’re quite a hero!”
The tomato replied, “And you, my friend, are the best spud,
Together in this patch, we make the perfect dud!”

Echoes of a Love Lost

In love’s dance, we once soared so high,
But now it’s just whispers and sighs.
With memories so dear,
Yet sadness draws near,
A shadow where once dreams would fly.

Poetry

A Smile 😊

A smile takes less energy, they say
It has the power to brighten someone’s day.
Spreading joy and warmth in every way.
It can chase the clouds and bring out the rays.

Challenge, Poetry, Word of the Day

Echoes of Absence

Unknowingly, you slipped away.
What did I do wrong? What could I have done
to make you stay?
All I ever wanted was to feel needed and seen.
I thought I had that with you,
but I was wrong yet again.
Will I ever find that connection,
or is it a dream just out of reach?
In the silence, I search for answers,
wondering if love can be genuinely returned.
Will I always be left with echoes of absence,
lost in the longing for what might have been?

Broom’s Flirtation

There once was a broom with a bristle
It tried to flirt with a brush and whistle
But the brush just sighed
And said with some pride
“I don’t sweep that way, dear broom, I’m not that fickle!”

Poetry

A Slice of Happiness

Sweet delight, layers,
Celebration in one slice,
Joy on every plate.

Rich cream and fruit abound,
Laughter echoes all around,
Moments shared, hearts unite.
