JusJoJan-Transmission

In the hush between breaths,

transmission begins—

a shimmer of thought

crossing the unseen bridge.

It hums in the wires,

it glows in the skin,

carrying more

than words can hold.

Standard

What is the standard
that you live by—
the one you preach aloud,
or the one you follow
when no one is watching.

JusJoJan- Philosophy

Philosophy was tough for me in college because it always felt like there were a hundred different answers to every question—and none of them were quite right! I’d leave class with my head spinning, wondering if I even knew what a chair was anymore. It was a real mental workout, for sure.

Quote

JusJoJan Nature

“We generate fears while we sit. We overcome them by action. Fear is nature’s way of warning us to get busy.” –  Dr. Henry Link

Commentary

Extra, Extra!

Director David Lynch, born on January 20th, 1946, attended the inauguration of John F Kennedy in 1961 when he was fifteen. Along with hundreds of other Boy Scouts. Lynch saw Kennedy, along with outgoing President Dwight D. Eisenhower and future presidents Richard Nixon and Lyndon B. Johnson, as their limos drove by. “I realized I saw four consecutive presidents in that short amount of time, 10 inches from my face,” he told Scouting magazine in 2017.

Commentary

JusJoJan- Unspoken

Funny how the most meaningful things can stay unspoken. A quick glance, a shared laugh, or just sitting together in silence—sometimes those unspoken moments say everything we need. It’s pretty cool how much we can share without ever saying a word.

Quote for January 24, 2026

“People tell you the world looks a certain way. Parents tell you how to think. Schools tell you how to think. TV. Religion. And then, at a certain point, if you’re lucky, you realize you can make up your own mind. Nobody sets the rules but you. You can design your own life.”— Carrie Ann Moss

Poetry

JustJoJan- Arms

In your arms, the world grows quiet,
storms hush and shadows part.
Safety blooms, gentle and silent,
a tender shield around my heart.

Here worries soften, fears disarm—
there’s nowhere safer than your arms.

Poetry

Generous

Giving without needing applause,
Every gesture softens the world a little more.
Nurturing hope in places that feel forgotten,
Easing burdens, you may never see.
Radiating warmth in quiet, steady ways,
Offering kindness like second nature,
Uplifting hearts simply by being present,
Showing that compassion is a form of courage.

Poetry

Swaying Breeze

The gently swaying breeze brings peace within,
Sending little goosebumps dancing on your skin.
It carries you away
To another time of day,
And every single moment feels like a win.
