Lazy Bones

Lazy Bones wont lift a hand

He sleeps the daylight into sand

Task pile high, the hours have flown –

No wonder he sits alone.

Poetry

Unlucky Thirteenth Superstition

On the thirteenth of the month, so it is told
Unlucky superstitions spread, oh so bold
Black cats crossing paths, mirrors that break
Superstitions taking hold, for goodness’ sake!

Avoid the ladders and spilled salt with care
Thirteen, a number some simply can’t bear
But fear not, my friend, it’s all just for fun
Superstitions and myths, when all’s said and done!

So embrace the day with laughter and delight
Thirteenth superstitions, we’ll put up a fight
It’s all just silly, so let’s all just be
Unlucky thirteenth superstitions, let’s set them free!

Poetry

Stamp Me Down

I stomp past the old tree stump,
leaves lifting as I land each jump.
Life tries to stamp me down at times,
but I rise again—
beat for beat,
rhyme for rhyme.

Life is Too Real

Special thanks to my collaborator on this Rengay, Anthony, mylovexpressionsblog.wordpress.com

Action takes the stage
Drama unfolding in life
Stories coming alive
Fantasy is all too real
And realities, unreal…

Touring Pasts

Special thanks to my collaborator on this Rengay, Anthony, mylovexpressionsblog.wordpress.com

Freezing time’s embrace
Seizing moments in the mind
Preserving memories
Revisiting moments, gone
Rebuilding all the lost ones…

Poetry

Finding Hope Within

In the land of hopelessness, I stand,
A negative cloud at my command.
But from within, I find a spark,
A light to pierce the dreary dark.

Flanked by doubt on every side,
I let my laughter be my guide.
Though things seem grim and full of woe,
I’ll turn it ’round and let hope grow.

Poetry

Serenade

Soft notes rise up

A voice calls through the night air

You lean and listen

Moonlight holds still

The melody wraps around

Two hearts, one breath

Strings begin to fade

The serenade drifts away

Silence stays behind

Morning takes its turn

The song still hums in your chest

Love left its echo

Poetry

Serendipity

Chance encounters, paths align,
Fates converge by sweet design.
Unexpected joys appear,
Bringing laughter, drawing near.

Wandering roads with open eyes,
Finding wonder, no disguise.
Moments spark, then quickly flee,
Leaving traces, memory.

Serendipity, gentle hand,
Guides us through this shifting land.
Hidden blessings, softly placed,
In every heart, a thrill is traced.

Life unfolds in ways unknown,
Fortune sown where seeds are thrown.
Welcome gifts that chance may send,
Serendipity, our friend.

Poetry

Breeze

It doesn’t announce itself —
no thunder, no ceremony —
just a slow exhale
through the leaves,
a suggestion of movement
you feel before you see.

It lifts the hem of curtains,
carries the smell of rain
from somewhere far away,
somewhere you’ve never been
but somehow remember.

It asks nothing of you.
It passes through your open hands
like a thought you can’t quite hold,
cool and brief and honest,
the way good things often are.

And when it’s gone,
the air is still —
but you are not the same.
You are lighter now,
the way a field is lighter
after the wind has moved through it,
every blade of grass
leaning in the direction
of something beautiful
that has already passed.

Poetry

Solitude

In quiet halls where echoes ring,
Solitude feels everything.
A silent friend, it walks beside,
Where secret thoughts and dreams reside.

The world grows hushed, the night expands,
Peace unfolds in gentle hands.
In solitude, the mind takes flight,
Finding stars within the night.

No clamor here, nor pressing crowd,
Just solace wrapped in silence proud.
A single voice, a steady beat,
Calms the heart with each repeat.

Cherish moments spent alone,
In stillness, seeds of self are sown.
From solitude, new strength is born,
To greet the world when comes the morn.

Poetry

Unleash Your Power

Power at your grasp,
Controlled strength within your reach.
Harnessing the force,
Can you handle the power?
Of a force that can’t be tamed.
