Once Wonderful

Once a wonderful tree, now half of what it used to be
standing there wishing it was what it once was
Once a proud tree that everyone enjoyed, now everyone flees
But the tree pays no mind, for it knows that it will improve with a little love and care.
Its branches once reached toward the sky so free,
drinking in the golden afternoon light,
now stripped and bare for all the world to see,
Yet still it stands with quiet dignity and grace,
rooted deep, becoming what it’s meant to be.

Nature

Autumn comes with leaves of multiple colors
Brighten up the day with pure joy
Cold weather
Disappearing into something somewhat warmer
Every river flows gently to the sea
Forests stand tall, ancient and free
Glaciers carve valleys through mountains of stone
Honeybees hum in a language their own
Ice crystals glitter at the break of dawn
Jungles breathe deep where wild things are born
Kingfishers dive through the reeds by the lake
Lakes mirror the sky with a silver-blue lake
Mountains rise proudly above morning mist
Nightingales sing where the tall oak is kissed
Oceans roll endlessly under the moon
Petals unfurl to a wildflower tune
Quiet the forest at the end of the day
Raindrops tap softly on leaves as they sway
Sunsets paint fire across the wide sky
Tides pull the shore with a whispering sigh
Under the stars, the earth holds its breath
Valleys lie still in the shadow of depth
Winds carry seeds to the farthest of places
Xerophytes bloom in the driest of spaces
Yearning for spring, the bare branches wait
Zephyrs breathe softly through meadow and gate

Fluffy the Fluff

Fluffy fluff, so full of fluff,
Tried to bluff, but not enough,
Got caught in the snuff, oh what a huff,
Now Fluffy’s in a huff, poor little fluff!

Blooming Through the Storm

Amid the storm, take one day at a time
Though the clouds may darken, the sun will eventually shine
Through the wind and rain, hold on to hope and rhyme
For this too shall pass, and you’ll begin to bloom.

Dancing Among the Stars

Out and about with friends, having a blast
Because they know how to do it in the best way
All our worries fade away as time passes
Carefully listening to every word.
Together as one, like a cast in a show.
Let your worries just fade away today.
Among the stars, we dance through endless night.
The glow of laughter, everything feels right.

Challenge, Poetry

Urge to Grow

I feel the quiet urge to grow,
to breathe, to soften, to let things flow.
A tiny pull, a steady nudge—
a whisper saying live, don’t judge.

Poetry

Washed Away

Wipe the smile off your face.
Where you went washed away
the trust we built between us—
you burned the bridge clean through
and still act like you’re innocent.

Challenge, Poetry

Be Honest

Let’s be honest—
We were never meant to be.
I was only a substitute,
a placeholder you kept warm
until something better came along

Timeless Majesty of the Pyramids

In the desert where history climbs,

The pyramids stand the test of time.

With their stones piled so high,

They reach for the sky,

A marvel of ages, so sublime.
