Holding nature’s bounty,
A canvas for delicious dreams,
Serves joy.

Overwhelming feeling has begun.
where to start is the question.
so many things to get done,
with each new thing
just amplifies the feeling.
A whirlwind of thoughts collide,
like storm clouds gathering,
each task a thunderclap,
each worry a flash of lightning,
illuminating the chaos
but leaving no clarity in its wake.
I grasp for one thread,
but it slips through my fingers,
caught in the chaos,
lost in the static,
and still, the clock ticks on,
demanding attention,
a relentless metronome of urgency.
Breathe.
A reminder whispered softly,
like a breeze cutting through the noise,
offering a moment, a pause,
to gather scattered pieces,
to sift through the overwhelm
and find the first step,
the one that starts the path ahead.
But where to start?
The question lingers,
dancing on the edge of resolve,
each moment a flicker of possibility,
waiting for the courage
to take that first step
into the unknown yet intimate.
So, I sit with it,
the weight, the pressure,
the promise of progress,
and with each heartbeat,
a quiet determination forms,
no longer drowning,
but swimming towards the surface.

Hipster
In a coffee shop, by the window’s glow,
Sits a hipster sipping his fair-trade brew slow.
With a beanie and beard, he thinks he’s so keen,
Discussing obscure bands—know what I mean?
He rides a fixie, with style that’s a blast,
Claiming his vintage is better than glass.
So, here’s to the hipsters, all quirky and bright,
They’re a laugh and a half, in their ironic delight!

There once was a marvel named elastic,
So versatile, truly fantastic.
With stretch and with grace,
In every place,
It outshines the old plastic, so drastic!

Empty room
Empty chair
Chair by the window
Chair for one
One last call
One deep breath
Breath of fresh air
Breath in the night
Night falls softly
Night without stars
Stars in the dark
Stars that won’t shine
Shine for a moment
Shine on my heart
Heart made of stone
Heart feels heavy
Heavy with thoughts
Heavy silence
Silence speaks volumes
Silence echoes truth
Truth hides beneath
Truth of my soul
Soul searching
Soul like a whisper
Whisper in shadows
Whisper of dreams
Dreams that linger
Dreams can hurt
Hurt like a knife
Hurt in the stillness
Stillness comforts
Stillness surrounds
Surround me with hope
Surround me with light
Light fades away
Light in the dark
Darkness holds me
Darkness and loneliness
Loneliness holds doubt
Loneliness holds tight
Tight in my body
Tight in my chest
Chest full of fears
Chest full of echoes
Echoes of pain
Echoes of days
Days without warmth
Days with pain
Pain
Warmth

Once upon a time
There was quiet at work
Where people got along
And no shouts could be heard
Things are now different.
Where once there was peace,
Now, there is chaos
Loud disagreements are the norm.
Tension builds in the air
No way to escape
No one to help to ease
Away the tension
Oh, how I miss the good old days
And often dream and hope that they will return
But alas it does not look like
That will happen anytime soon.

Ice,
Cold,
Rigid,
the right words.
That is what you are.
It is time to change yourself

MUNDANE
NUMB
ORB

In a world that felt mundane and numb,
Lived a creature quite round like a bum.
With an orb in its hand,
It danced on the sand,
Spreading joy with each silly thrum!

ROBUST

On a table there sat a bright plate,
With a query that carried some weight.
“Is your dinner robust?
In fine flavors, we trust,”
As we savored the food, feeling great!

JUNK
KILL
LEARN

In a cluttered room full of junk,
I found a treasure, not just a hunk!
With a playful grin, I chose to learn,
That beauty’s in chaos, waiting its turn.
No need to kill dreams with thoughts of despair,
Instead, let’s play and breathe in the air!
For every shiny trinket, a lesson to glean,
In the wild mess of life, we find what we mean.

Miss Sally felt eager and sage,
To join in the fun on the stage.
She turned with a grin,
Ready to spin,
And dance with the crowd in a rage.
