Fasteners Unite

Screws, tacks, and nails, oh my!
In the workshop, they all do lie.
The screw got twisted and turned around,
The tack got stuck but didn’t make a sound.
And the nail, oh the nail, so strong and stout,
It held it all together without a doubt.

With hammers clanging and pliers in hand,
Each tool at the ready, we make our stand.
Crafting and building, with teamwork we strive,
Creating new wonders, our spirits alive

True Companion

Loyal friend, purest,

Love and comfort, warm and true,

Heart’s connection strong.

In laughter’s embrace, we find our way,
Through shadows and light, together we stay,
In every moment, precious and rare,
A bond unbroken, beyond compare.

Poetry

Olaf

In a realm of chill and ice,
Olaf the snowman rolls the dice.
With a joyful grin and a nose of orange,
He navigates through ice, never at a loss.
He cherishes warm hugs and sunny skies,
Yet in the heat, he never sighs.
Olaf’s heart is kind and bright,
Bringing joy to all in sight.

Quote for October 25, 2025

“We need to accept that we won’t always make the right decisions, that we’ll screw up royally sometimes—understanding that failure is not the opposite of success, it’s part of success.” —Ariana Huffington

Dance of the Crane and the Spider

Your three words today are:
CRANE
FLY
SPIDER

A crane takes flight across the blue,
With wings that stretch, so bold and true.
Below, a spider weaves its thread,
Crafting dreams where shadows tread.

In the sky, the crane will soar,
While the spider works from shore to shore.
Together they dance in nature’s play,
One in the air, the other at bay.

Poetry

Pluto or Bust

Paul the porcupine had a plan

He was going to build a plane

To leave this planet and head to Pluto

A daring journey, he was determined to go

Tom Hanks and Mr. Rogers are distant cousins

Tom Hanks played Fred Rogers in the 2019 film, A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, but their connection doesn’t stop here. An Ancestry.com dig into their family trees found the two are actually sixth cousins who share a five-times great grandfather. What’s more, they’re also both descendants from two American brothers who fought in the Revolutionary War, according to People magazine.

A Lesson in Laughter

Your three words today are:
COURSE
COARSE
CURSE

In a classroom, a teacher with force,
Taught a lesson with flair and of course.
Though the language was coarse,
It invoked a sly curse,
And the kids laughed in joyful discourse!
