Sekenglif (feelings)
A perfect sphere surrounds us each day
It’s our reality of everything we see
A myriad of emotions, are at play
And many affect both you and me
–
Outside the sphere, feelings abound

And each its own unique face
Happiness, sadness, and others are found
Surrounding people of every race
–
Which we choose or rather chooses us
We often have very little choice
Confronting our feelings is a must
When talking in our inner voice
–
We might as well roll with it all
There’s no need to lose control
Feelings, inside of us rise and fall
Learn to ride the ebb and flow
–
So how do we deal with all these thoughts
How do we gain an upper hand
Dealing with the past, you’ve wrought
Helps you draw boundaries in the sand
–
Then one day, you create a space
Between what you see and what you feel
Putting self control in place
Preventing overreaction, a bad way to deal
–
So as the realities challenge with strife
Remember, you are in control
Of your reality and your life
Don’t let your feelings take a toll…

Cinderella has always been one of my favorite fairy tales, and I have always been fascinated by her story. So, naturally, I felt compelled to draw her. I am quite pleased with the way the drawing turned out. However, upon reflection, I believe that if I were to do it again now, I could further improve the result. Nevertheless, I still hold a deep admiration for the way it came out initially.

100 ghosts are haunting me
Not fifty, seventy-five, thirty, or three.
–
Each one takes up its own space
With different expressions upon their face
–
A snarky smirk or frown for a while
A look of anger or crooked smile
–
Why are they here what do they want
Can’t they find another to haunt
–
I’d ask them all but they don’t say
Why they never go away
–
I should hire a medium to take a look
Or tell me why they continue to spook
–
But the spiritual world is a closed book
And as a mortal I’m afraid to look
–
So I found my answer in the end
Rather than fight them, embrace them friends
–
As my logical conclusion is here
The ghosts all start to disappear
–
First smirky, fearful, then happy and mad
Next nervous, thoughtful, then silly and sad

–
Each ghostly apparition leaves
Taking along their gown and sleeves
–
As they’re gone I realize the key
Each of the ghosts was an aspect of me
–
Emotions can be scary but never fear
There’s a hundred feelings for everyone here.
–
So next time when adversity has you thrown
Think of those chalky friends and you won’t be alone.

This is one of my recent works, and I’m so thrilled with the outcome! It all started with a GIF I sent someone, and their response was incredibly inspiring. I’m absolutely in love with how this piece turned out.

I am not a Taylor Swift fan, but I do have a friend that is. I created this for them, and she loved it.
What are you good at?
What am I good at? That is a good question, and I often struggle with questions like that, but I will keep on going and answer the question. One of the things that I am good at is having patience when working with children, which is a good thing since I am a teacher. I have always believed that kids can learn while having fun, and I try to incorporate this when teaching kids. Another thing that I am good at, so I have been told, is drawing. I picked up drawing when I was going through a rough patch many years ago, and it helps me to relax and not worry as much. I find joy in expressing my creativity through various art forms.

I absolutely adore the movie “Up,” and Dug holds a special place in my heart. It was only natural for me to feel compelled to capture his essence through my artwork.

I was inspired to create this after reading a blog from Anthony (check out the link above). I connected to the post on a personal level.

I have always been captivated by the beauty of the Cherry blossom, so I made the bold decision to create a drawing of one. Behold, here is my initial attempt. I believe it turned out rather well. I am bursting with anticipation to embark on drawing another exquisite blossom.

I drew this when I was substituting for a class, and they had an assembly where someone was demonstrating how to draw certain things. I am thrilled with how this drawing turned out, especially because at the time I created it, I lacked confidence in my skills.

My mom loves bulldogs and I decided to draw this for her and she loved it.Drawing for my mom was such a heartwarming experience. Seeing her eyes light up as she gazed at the bulldog filled me with an indescribable joy.

I had a great time with creating this one. I would like to introduce Ivy or Poison Ivy.

With the support of someone dear to me, I’ve mustered the courage to share this humble Cinquain poem. This is my first attempt at this kind of poetry, so here it is for you.
