Rick James- Super Freak

She’s a very kinky girl
The kind you don’t take home to mother
She will never let your spirits down
Once you get her off the street, ow, girl

She likes the boys in the band
She says that I’m her all-time favorite
When I make my move to her room, it’s the right time
She’s never hard to please, oh, no

That girl is pretty wild now (the girl’s a super freak)
The kind of girl you read about (in new-wave magazines)
That girl is pretty kinky (the girl’s a super freak)
I really love to taste her (every time we meet)
She’s alright, she’s alright
That girl’s alright with me
Yeah, hey, hey, hey, hey!

She’s a super freak, super freak
She’s super-freaky, yow
Everybody sing
Super freak, super freak

She’s a very special girl (the kind of girl you want to know)
From her head down to her toenails (down to her feet)
Yeah, she’ll wait for me at backstage with her girlfriends
In a limousine (long and black and shining bright)

Three’s not a crowd to her, she says (ménage à trois, ooh, la, la)
“Room 714, I’ll be waiting”
When I get there, she’s got incense, wine, and candles
It’s such a freaky scene

That girl is pretty kinky (the girl’s a super freak)
The kind of girl you read about (in new-wave magazines)
That girl is pretty wild now (the girl’s a super freak)
I really like to taste her (every time we meet)
She’s alright, she’s alright
That girl’s alright with me
Yeah, hey, hey, hey, hey!

She’s a super freak, super freak
She’s super-freaky, yow

Temptations sing
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh
Super freak, super freak
That girl’s a super freak
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh

She’s a very kinky girl
The kind you won’t take home to mother
And she will never let your spirits down
Once you get her off the street
Blow Danny
Oh, girl

Oh, girl

Scandalous

So scandalous, the way
you toss your laughter in the air,
letting rumors trip over themselves
trying to keep up
with your shine.

Coupon

Clipping to save money, not time
Over‑priced items causing a money shortage
Under‑paid individuals struggling
Pinching pennies like it’s a competitive sport
Only to watch prices jump again tomorrow
Not that anyone raising them seems concerned

Laughing Along with A Limerick

There once was a dog so polite,
Who insisted on dancing each night.
But his wiggles were bold,
And completely uncontrolled—
So the neighbors declared him a sight!

Standard

What is the standard
that you live by—
the one you preach aloud,
or the one you follow
when no one is watching.

Can You Tell A Story In… ?

  • CHAMPAGNE
  • TOWER
  • OVERDRAWN
  • DIPLOMA

To celebrate his graduation, the man rushed to the tower to receive his diploma. He dreamed of toasting with champagne, but a lingering sense of dread surfaced—could he afford the celebration without being overdrawn at the bank?

Poetry

Burn, Baby, Burn

Burn, baby, burn
for all the wrongs you did,
Thinking I would never find out,
Shame on you,
your lies and tricks,
they cut so deep,
but I stand strong,
I’m taking back my peace.

The fire of truth,
it lights my way,
with every step,
I’ll find a new day.
No more shadows,
no more pain,
I’ll rise from the ashes,
like a bright flame.

So burn, baby, burn,
with the lessons learned,
I’ll carry on,
and my heart will return.
With hope in my soul,
and love all around,
I’ll build a new life,
on solid ground.

So I sit here and reflect

I sit here and reflect,
We used to be close,
Will we ever get that back?
Only time will tell, I suppose.

Memories linger like whispers in the air,
Laughter shared, secrets bare,
But distance grows with every day,
Will the path to you fade away?

I think of the moments, the dreams we spun,
The light-hearted jokes, the races we’d run.
Yet shadows creep in, doubt starts to swell,
In the silence between us, a story we can’t tell.

But hope lies dormant, waiting for its cue,
Like the dawn that breaks after the night’s dark hue.
Perhaps one day we’ll find our way,
And rediscover the bond that time can’t fray.

So I sit here and reflect,
With a heart full of wishes, a soul to connect,
For though life may twist like a winding road,
I’ll hold onto your memory, like a precious ode.

Echoes of Absence

Unknowingly, you slipped away.
What did I do wrong? What could I have done
to make you stay?
All I ever wanted was to feel needed and seen.
I thought I had that with you,
but I was wrong yet again.
Will I ever find that connection,
or is it a dream just out of reach?
In the silence, I search for answers,
wondering if love can be genuinely returned.
Will I always be left with echoes of absence,
lost in the longing for what might have been?

Feminist

Fighting for equality
Empowering voices
Making strides for justice
Inspiring change
Nurturing hope
Illuminating paths where fairness unwinds.
Strength in unity
Towards a future where all are unbanned.

Preparation

Preparation is what’s needed
To accomplish what you hope,
With each small step and steady aim,
You’ll find your way, you’ll learn to cope.

Each moment spent in focus clear
Builds the path that leads you on;
With courage in your heart, my dear,
Your dreams will wake with each new dawn

Whispers of Change

In my mind, the thoughts reside,
Hosting echoes, hard to bide.
For years they’ve danced, both dark and bright,
I work each day to find the light.

Rewiring paths, a steady quest,
Though struggles rise, I do my best.
With every dawn, new hope I find,
Improvements bloom within my mind.

Appearance

Now you make an appearance,
Where were you when I needed you the most?
In shadows deep, where silence sings,
I wandered alone, a desolate ghost.

Each echo of laughter, a bittersweet rhyme,
The moments we shared now drift far away.
I reached for your hand through the barriers of time,
But you turned a blind eye, lost in the fray.

I gathered my courage, I built up my dreams,
But storms rolled in, and they tore me apart.
Now you’re here with your comforting gleams,
Yet I’m left to mend this once-fractured heart.

Still, hope flickers like candles in night,
Perhaps we can stitch what was worn and frayed.
With patience and kindness, let’s set things right,
In the warmth of your presence, I won’t be afraid.

So linger a while, let shadows disperse,
Together, we’ll find the light in the dark.
In a world full of questions, in this universe,
Your return is the spark that ignites a new arc.

Uniquely Me

Throughout my childhood, I was called weird
For the things that I liked, for the paths that I steered.
In a world full of patterns, I danced to my drum,
With dreams in my pocket and glitter in my hum.

I climbed trees of imagination, soared high in the sky,
Painted rainbows on walls where no limits applied.
While others found comfort in molds that were set,
I reveled in oddities, with no hint of regret.

Whispers behind me, like breezes they blew,
Judgment and laughter, but my spirit just grew.
For every odd quirk, every strange little spark,
Was a gem in the darkness, a light in the dark.

Embracing the quirky, the unusual, the rare,
I learned to find beauty in all that I wear.
Now I stand tall, with my head held up high,
A tapestry woven of laughter and sighs.

So, here’s to the weird, the different, the bold,
To the stories we share and the truths we unfold.
In this kaleidoscope life, let your colors run free,
For the weirdest of hearts is the most truly free.
