Forceful impact’s sound
Resonating through the air
Strength and power shown
Reeling back from the hard blow
Falling on cold hard asphalt…

A place to show my work

Forceful impact’s sound
Resonating through the air
Strength and power shown
Reeling back from the hard blow
Falling on cold hard asphalt…

In the hush of twilight’s sigh,
Grains dance, like shadows passing by,
Each a story, silent and small,
Carried forth, heedless of all.
–
Through the dunes, a gentle sweep,
Voices of the earth, secrets to keep,
The sighing sands, a lullaby,
Echoes of time, beneath the sky.
–
Fleeting whispers, a soft embrace,
Shadows weaving in an endless chase,
As the winds weave tales of old,
In every grain, a memory told.
–
Listen closely, hear the grace,
In the dance of grains, find your place,
For in the whispers, the world is spun,
A tapestry of night and sun.

Amidst the chaos, serenities reign above,
A tranquil heart knows not the world’s dismay,
Like still waters, reflecting stars thereof,
In gentle whispers, life finds its soft way.
The calmest days are gifts that we can love,
Where moments linger, stretching into gray,
In nature’s arms, we seek a sweet reprieve,
Finding our solace in what we believe.

Running around, lost deep in your little show
Feeling superior now
Unaware you’re found out

In response to Word of the Day Challenge- Quote
Questions tumble out of curious minds
Unexpected answers spark a grin
Oh, the fun of chasing ideas
Turning thoughts into little adventures
Every word a tiny spark

Rushing water falling over a cliff
like time slipping through the cracks,
a waterfall that roars with all we’ve lost,
pulling echoes into the deep
where memory dissolves.

Time moves fast—
so fast it slips between our fingers
before we even notice the warmth fading.
Hours blur into days,
days into years,
and we look back wondering
when the world changed
and how we changed with it.
We chase moments
as if we can outrun the clock,
but time is patient—
it waits for no one,
yet it never loses its pace.
In the end,
we learn to hold what we can,
to breathe in the present,
because everything moves fast,
and nothing stays long enough
to be taken for granted.
Some subjects arrive like a weight on the table,
quiet but impossible to ignore.
A topic can sit between two people
like a closed door,
waiting for the courage
or the honesty
to turn the handle.
We circle it at first,
pretending the air hasn’t changed,
pretending we don’t feel the pull
of what must be said.
But truth has a way of leaning forward,
of clearing its throat
until silence becomes its own confession.
And when we finally speak,
The room shifts.
Not because the words are easy,
but because they are real—
and real things reshape us,
even when they hurt.

How feet glide and sway gracefully in time.
Beneath the starry night sky,
Joy moves forward in steps.

There once was a jeep named Jester,
Who loved to explore and to test her.
One day with a beep,
It caused quite a leap,
As he zoomed past a bright yellow jester.

Whisper to me, dear
All your secrets will be kept
Without doubt, no fear.

Profound tears stream softly down my face
Pain arrives, overwhelming my soul
When will this end
–
Night settles heavy on my trembling breath
Echoes of sorrow linger in me
Hope feels far away
–
Memories rise like shadows on the wall
Each one reminding me what I’ve lost
Still I carry on
–
Morning light tries gently to break through
Warmth brushing lightly against my grief
I am not yet whole

Ecstasy revealed
Heart’s delight unleashed in joy
Soul’s blissful embrace
Passions burn, so brilliantly
That their light never goes out…

Fear of judgment lingers,
Tightly grasping what we know.
Letting go is hard,
Leaves no space for us to grow,
In shadows, dreams remain low.

When the weight of life becomes too much,
And my mind feels burdened, longing for a touch
Of peace and solace, I know what to do
To unplug and find a sense of renewal.
Drawing and music, a perfect blend,
Help my thoughts unwind, allowing me to mend
The frayed edges of my restless mind,
Bringing a sense of calm, that’s hard to find.
Nature, too, holds the key
To unplug and set my spirit free.
In Joshua Tree’s vast expanse,
I find a refreshing, revitalizing dance.
When I can’t journey to such a place,
A local park becomes my space
To sit on a bench and admire the view,
And let nature’s tranquility flow through.
Learning the importance of unplugging,
I now make it a practice, never budging
From prioritizing my peace of mind,
To prevent feeling overwhelmed, I’m inclined.
