Drowning in the dark
Grasping for some kind of light
For my sinking heart
Waves of despair pull me down,
Longing for the morning light

BATH
BASIN
BLOCK

The baboon desperately wanted a bath,
So he searched for a block, feeling quite daft.
He wandered through jungles, up hills, and through glades,
In hopes of a basin, where he could make waves!

What are you most proud of in your life?

I have many things that I am proud of in my life. I would have to say the thing that I am the most proud of is that I took the steps and got help with working to manage my anxiety. I have social anxiety, and it was controlling my life. I have learned that it is good to have some anxiety as long as it does not control your life, and that is what it was doing. I wouldn’t go out and do things I wanted or cancel plans because of it. Since I decided to get help through an amazing therapist and I am on the proper medication, things have been improving. I am proud of how far I have come and look forward to seeing how far I can go.

Let me introduce Mr. Finster, aka my anxiety. He used to play a huge role in my life, but he has recently gotten smaller than before. I have learned that it is okay to have anxiety in your life as long as it doesn’t rule your life. For many years, that is what Mr. Finster did. With therapy and the right medication, things have been improving, and I will continue to work on strategies to make sure that he does not overrun my life again and learn how to become friends with my anxiety. The drawing was a mixture of two characters, one from a book and one from a TV show. Can anyone guess who they are?

I love hamburgers
Well-seasoned patties of beef
Cooked to perfection
Layers of cheese melting slow,
Each bite a savory dream

Love who you are now
Not who you were yesterday
That’s a fools errand
Embrace the new inspired you
For there is no one quite like you

What have you been working on?

I’ve been focusing on a few important things in my life. First, I’ve been trying to better myself. This means learning new skills and taking care of my health. I believe that small changes can lead to big improvements, and I’m excited about the journey.
Another key area I’m working on is believing in myself. It’s not always easy, but I’m learning to trust my abilities and take on new challenges. Whether it’s trying something new or reaching out to others, I know that self-confidence will guide me and my close and great friends.
Finally, I’ve been drawing for a friend’s book he wants to publish. It’s a fun and creative project that allows me to express myself. I love being part of something special that can bring joy to others.

WARLOCK
WITCH
CRONE

The crony witch and warlock went out on the town,
With potions and spells, they danced all around.
With a flick of her wand,
And a spell that was fond,
They turned every frown to a giggle and gown!

TINSEL
GLITTER
GOWN

—
Sally was up for a prestigious award,
A moment of glory that she truly adored.
The ceremony beckoned, all dressed in black tie,
Excitement and nerves danced, like stars in the sky.
She needed a gown that would suit the grand night,
One that shimmered and glowed, a true vision of light.
Through countless stores, she wandered and searched,
But nothing enchanted, her hopes slightly perched.
Then, on the day of the event, her heart took a chance,
A gown in a tinsel color—oh, what a glance!
With each step she took as she slipped it on,
She glittered and sparkled; her worries were gone.
Right away, she knew, this was the dress,
A stunning reflection of beauty and finesse.
She’d be the hit of the ceremony, without a doubt,
In a world full of whispers, her joy would shout.
So, off to the gala, with dreams shining bright,
Sally stepped forth, ready to dazzle the night.
With laughter and cheers, the moment drew near,
In that tinsel gown, she conquered her fear.

What’s something most people don’t know about you?

We all have little secrets or sides of ourselves that we keep hidden. Sometimes, these are silly things, and other times, they can be a bit deeper. Today, I want to share something that might surprise you: I have a dirty mind!
Now, before you jump to conclusions, let me explain what I mean. Having a “dirty mind” doesn’t always mean that I think about inappropriate things all the time. It’s more about seeing the funny and naughty side of everyday moments. I often find myself laughing at jokes or situations that might make others blush.
For example, during a serious conversation, I might suddenly think of a cheeky joke. It’s not that I mean to be disrespectful; it’s just that my mind tends to go in unexpected directions. I appreciate humor, especially when it has a playful edge. It brings a fun twist to life and can lighten up even the dullest moments.
Even though I might have these funny thoughts, I can be quite serious too. I love deep conversations and meaningful connections. I value respect and kindness, and I don’t take my silly thoughts too far. It’s all about balance.
Just know that there’s a playful side to me that finds joy in the unexpected. Embracing this part of myself has helped me connect with others who appreciate laughter and light-heartedness in a world that can sometimes be heavy.

Too much pondering
Will give you a big headache
Do not overthink
In stillness, I find my way,
Letting go of endless thoughts
