Dragonflies pair up
Coupled closely in midair,
United as one.
Sunlight glints off their warm wings,
A dance in the summer sky.

Lazy days offer me a precious opportunity to pause and take a breath. In our fast-paced world, these moments of stillness are essential. They allow me to step away from the demands of daily life and indulge in simple pleasures. These days serve as a reminder of the importance of self-care. After a week filled with responsibilities, it’s refreshing to slow down, allowing both my mind and body to rest. I often find that during these times, I can reflect on my goals and reconnect with my thoughts in a way that’s not always possible when I’m busy. When I return to my tasks after such a day, I feel invigorated. The mental clarity and creative energy I gain are invaluable.

When you think of the word “successful,” who’s the first person that comes to mind and why?

When I think about the word successful, the first person who comes to mind is Bill Gates. I admire his amazing achievements as the person who started Microsoft and for his work in giving back through the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. I think he’s successful because he’s come up with new and helpful ideas in the technology world and because he’s really committed to making the world healthier and smarter for everyone.

What makes a good neighbor?

A good neighbor is someone who is friendly, helpful, and respectful. They are considerate of others, keep noise levels down, and are willing to lend a helping hand when needed. Good neighbors also take care of their property and contribute positively to the community.

Thrilling

Up, up, up, we climb so high,
The world below, a tiny speck in the sky.
Then down we go, with a wild whoosh,
Feeling like we’re riding on a flying broom.
Around the curves, we twist and turn,
Screaming with joy, our stomachs churn.
The wind in our hair, the thrill in our hearts,
This roller coaster ride, a true work of art.

Oh, I am a ghostie
with the mostie.
I will do you no harm.
I rather live on a farm.

Where I can meet some pigs,
And we can do a jig
With other animals on the lawn
Until dawn

I created this piece this year and I’m thrilled with how the ghost turned out! The colors of the house are among my finest work, and I absolutely love the facial expressions I captured here. Overall, I can confidently say this is one of my favorite haunted house drawings I’ve ever made!

JEWEL
EMERALD
RUBY

In a cave so deep, without any trouble,
Lay a jewel so green, the stunning emerald.
Its sparkle so bright, its beauty so rare,
A treasure so precious, beyond compare.
Next to it rested a ruby so red,
With a glow so warm, like the sun ahead.
Side by side, they shimmer and gleam,
In this magical cave, like a dreamy scene.

What could you try for the first time?
I chose to answer this question with a poem to add some excitement, celebrating the beauty of words and their rhythm; poetry can turn simple thoughts into powerful expressions that touch our hearts. So, here it goes
Exploring the Unknown
What could I try for the first time,
To soar beyond the mountain’s climb?
A dance, a song, a brand new rhyme,
Or painting colors in a prime.
Perhaps a dish from a foreign land,
Or crafting art with your very own hand.
To travel far to a distant shore,
Or to learn a language, and so much more.
For life is a canvas, blank and wide,
With adventures waiting on every side.
So, take a step, and don’t delay,
Try something new, make your own way.

Over the weekend, a great friend of mine and I decided to go to a paint night event. We were guided through the process of creating this incredible masterpiece step by step. The whole experience was a total joy, filled with laughter and spontaneous creativity. The instructor was not only extremely knowledgeable but also super nice, making everyone feel comfortable and inspired to express themselves. She really encouraged us to tap into our own creativity, which meant that no two art pieces looked alike — it was fantastic seeing everyone’s unique styles emerge. I absolutely love how my ghost turned out; it has this fun, quirky vibe that makes me smile every time I look at it. Plus, I noticed that I’ve definitely improved in creating trees, which was a nice surprise.
