Memorable Vegas Trip: Highs and Lows

Daily writing prompt
Describe your most memorable vacation.

When I was 21, I took a memorable trip to Las Vegas with my college friends. It was an exciting and eventful experience. One of the challenges I faced was getting blisters from all the walking, especially on the famous Vegas Strip. Despite the discomfort, I pushed through and made the most of my time there.

One of the highlights of the trip was attending the “Thunder From Down Under” show. It was a fun and memorable experience that definitely added some spice to the Vegas adventure.

To top it all off, I even had some luck at the casino and managed to win $200. It felt incredibly rewarding and added an extra thrill to the trip. Overall, my Vegas trip at 21 was filled with highs and lows, but it’s a journey I’ll always remember.

When you have control over yourself, you have the power to choose your own path, shape your future, and live by your principles.

Future worries

What are you most worried about for the future?

I am not going to lie and say that I don’t have any fears for the future because I have many. One of the main ones is that I will end up alone without someone by my side to encourage me and help me navigate through life.

The thought of being alone can be daunting, especially when considering the uncertainties and difficulties that life may present. Having a partner, friend, or family member to lean on during tough times can provide a sense of comfort and reassurance. Whether it’s for emotional support, practical advice, or simply having someone to share experiences with, the presence of a supportive companion can make a significant difference.

I am working on this and I will continue to work on this fear.

Wasted Time

How do you waste the most time every day?

I think the biggest time waster for me every day is getting caught up in social media scrolling. It’s so easy to lose track of time while mindlessly browsing through posts and updates. I’m trying to be more mindful of how I spend my time and limit my social media use to designated periods throughout the day.

Childhood Meal

Which food, when you eat it, instantly transports you to childhood?

The meal that always brings me back to my childhood whenever I eat it is carne asada, Mexican rice, and beans. I remember the family get-togethers in my grandparent’s backyard, the savory aroma of the carne asada sizzling on the grill, and the laughter of my cousins echoing through the air. The vibrant colors of the Mexican rice and the heartiness of the beans always made the meal feel like a fiesta. Those were the times when we would sit around the table, sharing stories and creating cherished memories.
