A place to show my work

In a world of shadows, where whispers reside,
I seek a horizon, where the bright dreams collide.
With each flicker of light, hope begins to ignite,
Yearning to break free from this long, endless night.
Fingers brush the surface, a journey to unfold,
Chasing soft reflections, stories yet untold.
The darkness retreats as dawn starts to play,
In the warm glow of morning, I find my way.

Say Hi, brings smiles and cheer,
A simple hello for all to hear.
To friends and strangers, let kindness flow,
A little “hi” can brighten the glow.
Greet the old man, the child, the unknown,
Wave to the neighbor, show love you’ve grown.
A quick conversation can lift spirits high,
So let’s make the world sweeter, just say hi!

There once was a candidate, Jack,
Whose charm was a clever old act.
But caught in a mess,
With no way to guess,
His career took a tumble—and whack!
So voters, beware of the show,
Check the facts before you bestow.
For behind all the cheer,
Could be trouble near here,
And you’ll end up with “Uh-oh!” in tow!

Summer
Hot days are here
Swimming, plans, vacations
Time to rest and be with others
Fun times

In a chat where we sought to be frank,
Honesty flowed, with no need for a prank.
Words danced in the air,
With truths laid so bare,
A discussion both lively and succinctly blank.

Round and round the circle I tread,
Thoughts in my mind, like whispers, they spread.
Each action I take, trapped in this flow,
No exit in sight, just the same ebb and glow.
Endless the journey, a dance with no end,
A spiral of feelings, around I descend.
Lost in the rhythm, where time has no claim,
Round and round I wander, forever the same.

There once was a man with a pot,
Who always wore a stylish bowtie and top hat,
His loyal and loving pet,
Would often get wet,
From all the droplets the pot splashed on the cat!

Delicate petals unfold in grace
Happiness upon seeing you brightens my day
With you around I feel like nothing can go wrong
Together we blossom, forever to stay.

In the stillness of the night,
A train rolls by, a distant sight,
Carrying dreams, both heavy and light,
Across the tracks, with all its freight.
From bustling cities to fields so wide,
A journey taken, with hope as the guide,
Through valleys and hills, side by side,
The heartbeat of the world on a timeless ride.
With every cargo, a story to tell,
The weight of the past in each sturdy shell,
Onward it travels, through rain and through swell,
This life of freight—a life lived well.

Once it flourished, a vibrant sight,
With dancing leaves that caught the light.
A canopy of joy, so full and grand,
Now bare and lonely, it can scarcely stand.
Where branches whispered tales of glee,
Now silence reigns, a wound to see.
In every shade, a memory stays,
Of happier times, of sunlit days.
Trimmed to the bone, its spirit wanes,
While sadness blooms in whispered pains.
Though others may see just wood and air,
To me, it held a beauty rare.
Fury stirs in my restless heart,
As nature’s canvas has been torn apart.
Yet through this sorrow, I still hold tight,
To dreams of green in the soft moonlight.
I’ll cherish the memories, let them grow,
For even in loss, the heart can know
That beauty lingers, though it may wane,
And from the ashes, hope can reign.

In silence, I find my home
A sanctuary all my own
Where thoughts can freely roam
And peace is grown
Through quiet moments, deep and true
My mind finds space to sift and strew
Each feeling, thought both old and new
Until my heart shines through
In stillness midst the world’s loud race
I find my calm, my healing space
Where chaos fades without a trace
In silence’s sweet embrace
