A place to show my work

Every week, a creative prompt will be offered for you to unleash your imagination and artistic skills.
You can share your response in the form of art or any creative expression that the prompt inspires.
There are no restrictions and no deadlines, so feel free to take your time and enjoy the creative process.
Remember to label your response with #missysmadchallenge.
Your challenge for the week
When I get some great, amazingly fantastic news, my first instinct is to celebrate! I might become a little hyper and talk fast, and then immediately reach for my phone. I love sharing joy, so I’d call my closest friends or family to tell them the news. Hearing their excitement would only amplify my happiness. After that, I might treat myself to a little something special—perhaps a nice meal or dessert to commemorate the moment.
MAD Missy

Is it time,
to say goodbye?
Will this feeling go away if I do,
Or am I trying to pull away like before?
I need a sign to know.
I don’t want to damage
something by rash decisions.
Maybe I should talk to them
Would they understand?
MAD Missy

Voices speaking, but can’t decipher,
Heart beating rapidly.
Skin begins to itch, eyes scattering all around,
Need to find a way out.
The need to escape intensifies.
Feel the need to tear my skin with my nails,
to get rid of the itch.
Breathing coming in short pants, as things intensifies
Will this every end,
Or will it continue?
The urge to escape, to run,
Gets worse every second
Thoughts racing in my head,
Millions thoughts swirling around.
Fidgetiness has begun
Scratching myself to ease the worry
Then, a calm, soothing voice speaks my name.
Slowly, I turn my attention to the voice.
I look into their eyes, and I see understanding.
I begin to realize I am safe, and no harm will come.
Listen to him as he calms my soul,
Teaching me another strategy.
When complete,
I am whole again.

Three Things Challenge #M960
VILE
WET
YOUTH

In a village so vile, where the mud puddles lay,
Lived a gang of young critters, all eager to play.
With squishy wet shoes that squashed as they ran,
Chasing raindrops and rainbows, oh, what a plan!
The youth of the town, with laughter so loud,
Jumped into the muck, oh, they felt so proud.
With squelching and sliding, they danced with delight,
Creating a symphony of splash, what a sight!
But one little frog, with a mischievous grin,
Said, “Let’s have a contest to see who can win!
We’ll leap through the puddles, let’s see who can twirl,
In this wet, vile kingdom, let our joy unfurl!”
So they bounced and they hopped, in the gloopy, wet mire,
With hearts filled with youth and a spark of desire.
For in every vile puddle, with a splash and a cheer,
They found not just water, but friendship so dear!

I’ve definitely outgrown scrapbooking over time. It used to be a fun way to preserve memories and get creative, but I found that I prefer digital options now. They save space and allow for easier sharing. Plus, I realize I don’t have the same patience for cutting and gluing like I used to!

Pride for those who live dreams.

In February’s gentle sway,
Lovers whisper sweet and near,
A heart-shaped shadow marks the day,
As I watch, consumed by fear.
Roses bloom in vibrant red,
Chocolates melt in warm embrace,
Yet here I sit with thoughts unsaid,
In this lonely, crowded space.
Laughter rings with sweet delight,
As envy whispers deep inside;
I ache for love both day and night,
While joy feels distant, nearly died.
Yet beneath this bitter view,
A flicker shines, faint but bright,
For every heart that breaks in two
Can find its path back to the light.

Your three words today are:
STAR
TEST
USE

The final test was drawing near,
I felt the weight, the surge of fear.
To ace this test, my only goal,
To shine brightly, to take control.
With all my willpower, I strive,
To make my dreams and hopes alive.
For in this moment, I will see,
The star of my life, it’s meant to be

A while ago, a friend showed me the band Primus, and I’m really happy about it! There’s one song I really love that I want to share. They mix different styles, like alternative rock, funk, and experimental sounds. Their version of “Pure Imagination” is a great example of this. The song was originally made for the 1971 movie Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory by Anthony Newley, but Primus gives it a new and fun twist that makes it even better.
They use a strong bass sound and Les Claypool’s unique voice, which makes their version special. It really catches your ear! The instruments create a fun background, showing how talented the band is by mixing humor with serious ideas. The guitar and drums add extra layers to the music.
The lyrics of “Pure Imagination” encourage people to escape reality and dream of a world full of wonder and creativity. The words inspire imagination and possibility, connecting well to the idea of adventure and exploration, much like the story of The Rainbow Goblins. Primus adds their quirky style to this idea, encouraging listeners to enjoy the silly side of life and see the world in new ways.
This song invites you to dive into your imagination and find the magic within you. Whether you’ve known the band for years or are just discovering them, this version of “Pure Imagination” will make you think about all the amazing possibilities out there. So, take a moment to listen and let your imagination fly!

I absolutely love Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups! The combination of creamy peanut butter and rich milk chocolate is heavenly. Every time I eat one, it feels like a little piece of paradise. I can never have just one—they’re simply too good!
