Abby the adventurer
Busily bumbling along
Curious looking for an adventure
Daring to try new things
Even questioning her elders
Forever getting into mischief
Going whatever strikes her fancy
Hurling into whatever she does
Itching to have some fun
Just waiting for the right one to come along
Knowing that it might not be easy but is better than
Laying around doing nothing all day
Monkeying around
Never staying in one place
Open to new ideas
Pondering if she should
Quit
Resilient to continue
Suddenly to her surprise, a
Tantalizing adventure awaits
Under the swings
Venturing slowly
Weighing in her mind, if
X-ray vision is needed
Yahoo she is close
Zoom off she went

The word “okay” has become a default response in many of my conversations, often used as a quick and convenient answer to the “how are you?” question. It’s a way to avoid delving into deeper feelings or thoughts. As I continue to work on reducing my use of this word, I’ll remember that it’s okay to share my real feelings and experiences, even if they’re not always positive. This can create opportunities for authentic conversations and deeper connections with those around me.

I haven’t posted any of my art in a while, so I decided to post this bad boy. I love how they came out, but I did make a few coloring errors which I will learn from. Despite the coloring errors, I’m proud of the overall outcome and I can’t wait to apply the lessons learned to my future projects.

Beautiful, serene
Calmness takes over your soul
Forgetting all things
As the world fades away
Peace and stillness remain
In this moment, we are whole

BRUTAL
HARSH
BLOOD

The brutal and harsh words cut through me like a knife,
Imaginary blood bleeds away all my hopes and dreams,
But I rise from the ashes, stronger than before,
My spirit unbroken, my resolve unyielding,
No words can extinguish the fire in my soul,
No wounds can erase the light in my eyes,
For I am more than the pain that I bear,
I am a warrior, unafraid to rise.
MAD

Heart’s whispered desire
Floating on a silver dream
Hoping for a spark
But lost in the darkness
Yearning for a light to flicker
Guiding the way through the dark

Life,
Can be good or bad
Depending on the way you approach it
It’s up to you to choose
Whether to be happy or sad
Embrace the good, let go of the bad
For life is a journey, make the most of it
And cherish every moment you have
MAD

Will it ever come
Waiting patiently for it
Getting discouraged
Many say it will
But hope dims each passing day
Need to keep hoping.
Love’s light shines through doubt
Guiding us to brighter days
Hope, our constant guide

SOLAR
LUNAR
STARRY

Under the bright solar glow,
The beauty of the lunar shines at night,
Starry skies twinkle and glimmer,
In this heavenly, wondrous dream.
MAD

Materialized,
A clear manifestation,
Form of what’s unseen.

No more…
will I live in fear,
will I shed a tear,
will I hide and cower,
will I wilt like a flower.
will I bear this pain,
will I let it reign,
will I be denied,
will I run and hide.
will I be weak and small,
will I let my spirit fall,
will I give up the fight,
will I fade into the night.

I’m sitting here waiting for my uncle,
Supposed to get medicine, now getting groceries instead,
Had I known, I’d have gone myself,
Better than waiting here, wishing I’d fled.

back flash vanishing tap top trip yearning blind sigh vine strong fear
—

In the back flash of memory’s light,
Vanishing moments slip out of sight,
Time’s tap echoes with a silent top,
As we trip through dreams that never stop.
Yearning for whispers in the blind,
We sigh for the solace we can’t find,
Like a vine, reaching for the sun’s ray,
We grow strong in our own gentle way.
Facing each fear with courage aligned,
We rise above, leaving doubts behind.
