Do what you can, where you are, with what you have. –Teddy Roosevelt
A place to show my work

Do what you can, where you are, with what you have. –Teddy Roosevelt

Cherishing who I am
Owning my truth
Moving at my pace
Perfectly imperfect
Accepting all parts
Seeing my worth
Staying authentic

You don’t need fists to cast your chains,
For words can echo and leave deep stains.
Actions can wound without a fight,
While shadows linger, stealing light.
No need for physical to leave a scar,
Silent harm can reach so far.
In gentle whispers, pain can lie,
With every word, a soul can sigh.

A Congolese bride and groom can’t smile on their wedding day
“The Democratic Republic of the Congo considers marriage such a serious business, neither the bride or groom can smile or laugh during the ceremony, reception, and even in wedding photos. If they do, it shows they’re not serious about their commitment.” – 50 Weird Facts That Most People Don’t Know

“We must reach out our hand in friendship and dignity, both to those who would befriend us and those who would be our enemy.” —Arthur Ashe

Please consider my feelings,
If we are truly friends,
Things cannot continue this way,
With silence that transcends.
Our laughter used to echo,
In the warmth of shared delight,
But now a shadow lingers,
Where once there was pure light.
I long for honest moments,
For trust to fill the space,
To mend the fraying bond we share,
And restore our friendship’s grace.
So let us speak the truth now,
No more fear or disguise,
For in the heart of friendship,
The strongest love always lies.

“There is a vitality, a life force, an energy, a quickening that is translated through you into action, and because there is only one of you in all time, this expression is unique. And if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium and will be lost.” ―Martha Graham
Your three words today are:
BOTTLE
BUNG
CORK

In a bottle, dreams reside,
Underneath a wavy tide.
A bung seals secrets held so tight,
Whispers of the stars at night.
Cork pops forth, a joyful sound,
Unveiling tales that leap and bound.
Each drop a journey, rich and bold,
In the bottle, stories told.

I am tired of all the lies and deceit,
Every promise broken, never complete.
Trust has faded, like a setting sun,
What was once bright, now feels overrun.
Words like whispers, lost in the air,
Secrets hidden, it’s hard to care.
I seek the truth, clear and bright,
To find my way back to the light.
No more shadows, no more pain,
I long for honesty, freedom to gain.
Let love be real, let kindness flow,
In a world where the truth can grow.

People once took tomato pills as medicine
“Back in the 1800s, a medical tomato craze occurred in the U.S., thanks in part to an Ohio physician, Dr. John Cook Bennett, who claimed tomatoes could ease or cure a multitude of ailments, including diarrhea, indigestion, cholera, jaundice and “violent bilious attacks.” Dr. Bennett partnered with drug manufacturer Archibald Miles to produce tomato pills called “Dr. Miles’ Compound Extract of Tomato.” Hundreds of thousands of people bought into it, purchasing the tomato extract pills but the trend died down around 1850, when Americans decided to simply eat the tomatoes instead.” – 50 Weird Facts That Most People Don’t Know

See the errors of your ways,
You can always change.
Life’s a book with endless pages,
Turn them, rearrange.
In shadows, doubt may linger,
But hope can light the way.
Embrace the chance to grow,
Don’t let fear hold sway.
With each new dawn’s soft whisper,
A canvas fresh and bright,
Paint your dreams with courage,
Step boldly into light.
Though storms may rage around you,
And paths seem hard to find,
Remember every moment,
Is a chance to redefine.
So take a breath, let go of past,
With every step you take,
You’re not just walking forward,
You’re weaving your own fate.

I sit in the background letting things pass me by,
Watching the world dance, as I quietly sigh.
Moments unfold like a delicate thread,
Stories are spoken, but I stay unsaid.
The laughter of children, the whispers of trees,
The clamor of city, the sound of the breeze.
I gather the pieces, the fragments of light,
While shadows of time blend the day into night.
Each face tells a story, each tear has a tale,
In the corners of silence, where dreams often sail.
Though the world rushes forward, I remain still,
A keeper of secrets, in time’s gentle thrill.
Yet in this stillness, I find my own voice,
A quiet resilience, a powerful choice.
For in the backdrop, a heart beats with grace,
Embracing the moments, finding my place.

In a roosted fringe, where the wild birds sing,
A ruby beat rushes, a joyful thing.
Shame flies away on the wings of faith,
As peaks in the distance wear a crown of wraith.
A spot by the heart, where laughter takes flight,
Under the stars, everything feels just right.
So dance with a smile, let your spirits beam,
In this silly little world, we live in a dream!
Focus on the endgame
Concentrate on what you want
believe in yourself
Then it will happen
