I strive to prioritize self-care by dedicating time to activities that bring me happiness, like drawing, writing, and sharing my reflections on this blog. Acknowledging the importance of self-care, I make an effort to engage in it whenever I feel overwhelmed or stressed. It’s vital for me to focus on this because it contributes to my overall balance and well-being.
A very good friend of mine introduced me to Black Sabbath, and I’m super grateful that he did. I’ve become completely hooked, especially on the song “Iron Man.” Just hearing the beginning of that track sticks in my head for the rest of the day, without fail. Black Sabbath is one of the pioneers of heavy metal music, and “Iron Man” is a standout track that truly showcases their unique sound and lyrical storytelling. Released in 1970 as part of their groundbreaking album “Paranoid,” “Iron Man” showcases the band’s heavy riffs, powerful vocals, and haunting themes, which really resonate with me.
“Iron Man” tells the tale of a man who travels into the future only to find a world he cannot relate to. However, upon returning to his own time, he discovers that he has become a mental figure misunderstood and alienated. The song’s narrative explores the themes of isolation, transformation, and the consequences of humanity’s inability to accept those who are different. The message of Iron Man reflects the human condition and how society often ostracizes those who do not fit in, symbolizing the burdens that come with power and the loneliness that can accompany it.
The guitar riff in Iron Man is the one thing that pulled me into the song, and the drums are stupendous. Oh, and let’s not forget the vocals of Ozzy Osbourne that deliver the lyrics. All three together make the song amazing.
Hopes and dreams knotted together, every moment a chance to find, amidst chaos love sparks restoring warmth even in the dark timeless whispers, where feelings embark
Here are the prompts for this week’s Writer’s Workshop:
Write a post based on the word fairness.
Write a post in exactly 12 sentences.
Would you rather spend the rest of your life without music or without movies?
What’s something that is common today that humans will be embarrassed about doing in 50 years?
What’s your opinion on naps?
What’s something you find attractive that others may not?
Fairness is a standard we should all uphold, Yet some believe that they’re superior, bold. To treat each with equality is what it’s about, So pause and reflect before you act out.
Would you want this for yourself, If not, then it’s not fair, you see, Walk a mile in another’s shoes, To understand, to set the world free.
Imagine a place where kindness reigns, Where empathy replaces divisions and pains. Together we can strive for a better space, United in fairness, we’ll change the human race.
In the forest where tall trees sway, Lived a bear who smiled bright by day. But one night he lost his teeth in a tumble, Now he’s known as the Gummy Bear, no need to grumble.
Soft and sweet, he bounced all around, The happiest bear in the woods he found. Though he lost his crunch, he found joy to share, For a toothless smile can still spread love everywhere!
I admire Mahatma Gandhi because he believed in using peaceful methods to create significant change. His teachings on truth, justice, and treating everyone equally remain incredibly relevant today. He was a strong leader who genuinely cared about helping others and promoting fairness and justice. Although he lived a long time ago, his ideas about peace and equality continue to inspire people worldwide, including me.
