Here are some of the ways I relax.
MAD

Notes intertwined tight,
Harmony in every strum,
Heartstrings resonate
Forming fragile melodies
And many delicate chords…

Alessia Cara’s song “Scars to Your Beautiful” is incredibly motivating to me for several reasons. The song’s empowering message about self-acceptance and beauty resonates deeply with me. It reminds me that everyone is beautiful in their own way, regardless of society’s narrow standards of beauty. The lyrics encourage self-love and embracing our unique qualities, which is a powerful and uplifting message. Moreover, the music itself is inspiring and empowering, with a catchy melody and infectious rhythm that fills me with positive energy. Overall, “Scars to Your Beautiful” motivates me to embrace my individuality, love myself for who I am, and celebrate the beauty in diversity.

Firework by Katy Perry
“Firework” by Katy Perry is a motivating song that resonates with me because of its uplifting and empowering message. The song and the melody have inspired and encouraged me to embrace my uniqueness, try to overcome my self-doubt, and to celebrate my inner strength. There are times where I forget and I need to be reminded though.
The song begins with the lines “Do you ever feel like a plastic bag, drifting through the wind, wanting to start again?” This line spoke to me because there have been many times when I have felt that I was lost and struggling to find my purpose, and there are still times that I do.
During the song, Katy Perry encourages us to ignite the spark that we have inside us and to let it shine. This is a great metaphor of a firework that symbolizes the idea of inner strength and resilience, and it conveys a powerful message of embracing individuality and self-expression.
“Firework” by Katy Perry is a motivating song that has captured the hearts of many with its empowering lyrics, vibrant melody, and message of self-empowerment.

What is your favorite genre of music?
I enjoy all types of music, but there’s something about 90s R&B that really captures my heart. The soulful vocals, the smooth melodies, and the heartfelt lyrics just speak to me. It’s music that’s timeless and always puts me in a good mood.

This is one of my favorite songs. It embodies self love and loving your self for who you are and not what others want you to be.
I have used this song to help me when I am feeling low about myself and to make sure that I have to encourace myself that “I am a 10 even if I forget it.”

How do you know when it’s time to unplug? What do you do to make it happen?
When I feel overwhelmed with work or personal life, I know it’s time to unplug. One of the activities that helps me unwind is drawing while listening to music. Engaging in these two activities simultaneously allows my mind to stop overthinking, providing me with a sense of peace for a while.
Additionally, I find peace in nature. During times when I need to unplug, I’ve taken trips to Joshua Tree, and the experience has been incredibly refreshing. If I can’t make it to Joshua Tree, I visit a local park, find a quiet bench, and simply observe the world around me.
Recognizing the importance of unplugging has been a learning process for me. Since realizing its significance, I’ve made a conscious effort to prioritize this practice in order to prevent feeling overwhelmed.

Boyz II Men
What’s the name of the group?
I had the incredible opportunity to see my all-time favorite group perform live in concert yesterday, and I must say, they absolutely blew me away. Having seen them in concert before, I can confidently say that each performance just gets better and better. They delivered their classic hits flawlessly, but what really stood out were the new “old” songs they debuted and the covers of other artists’ tracks. Each one was performed to perfection, showcasing their musical versatility and skill.
From start to finish, the energy in the venue was electric, with the entire crowd up on their feet, rocking out and singing along with the group. Their music has always had a profound impact on me, touching my soul in ways that few other artists can. Whenever I listen to their music, it has a calming effect, helping me through moments of anxiety and stress. They will always hold a special place in my heart, and I can’t wait for the next opportunity to see them live again.
