Painting is my refuge when anxiety takes hold, A soothing balm for thoughts that incessantly unfold. With each stroke of the brush, my worries start to fade, Transforming onto a canvas, a beautiful escapade.
In colors and shadows, my spirit finds release, Each line a gentle whisper, each curve a form of peace. Within this quiet world, my heart begins to mend, As I create in stillness, my companion and my friend.

There once was a painter so artful, Whose brush strokes were always quite heartful. But in a fit of care, She spilled paint everywhere, And the wall turned a mess, oh so dartful!
She tried hard to carry the weight, Of her blunder that sealed her fate. With laughter she cried, As colors worldwide, Made her gallery truly first-rate!
Brush strokes on the canvas Colors sigh and come alive Art speaks without words Saying all we cannot say Opening our hearts and minds… -MAD/AAA 11/09/2024
Over the weekend, a great friend of mine and I decided to go to a paint night event. We were guided through the process of creating this incredible masterpiece step by step. The whole experience was a total joy, filled with laughter and spontaneous creativity. The instructor was not only extremely knowledgeable but also super nice, making everyone feel comfortable and inspired to express themselves. She really encouraged us to tap into our own creativity, which meant that no two art pieces looked alike — it was fantastic seeing everyone’s unique styles emerge. I absolutely love how my ghost turned out; it has this fun, quirky vibe that makes me smile every time I look at it. Plus, I noticed that I’ve definitely improved in creating trees, which was a nice surprise.
I feel like I have already answered this one, but I will go ahead and answer it again. My all-time favorite hobby is to create art. It can be by drawing, collage, painting, or artistic expression. I find joy and fulfillment in bringing my imagination to life through art. Whether it’s a detailed sketch, a vibrant painting, or a mixed media creation, creating art allows me to explore my creativity and express myself in unique and meaningful ways.

2. When was your last field trip? The last field trip I had was when I went with my friend to paint the picture above 3. What is your favourite past time as an adult? My favorite pastime is creating art and lately I have been gaining confidence in my writing which is now starting to become a pastime. 4. Do people ask you for advice? Yes, I do have people coming to me for advice and at times it can be overwhelming, but I have learned to put up boundaries if needed and I actually like helping others.
Gratitude:
For being alive another day
For Friends who encourage me to take risk
For the ability to create art that brings me joy
For those family members who have my back
For my therapist who has been helping me overcome my anxieties.

Annie was in her smock, painting away, Creating scenes of joy, in every stroke she’d convey, All the stuff that she enjoys, her heart poured into art, But then along came Agustus, with a scoff and a snarky remark.
Tears glistened in her eyes, as her enemy belittled her creation, Her work was special and dear, a masterpiece in her imagination.
For the future of this week, I am excited for the paint activity that I am going to on Saturday with a great friend. I have always wanted to try something like this, and now I can’t wait. I’m really looking forward to expressing my creativity and having a fun, relaxing time.
Looking past this week, what I am really looking forward to is finding a job that I truly love. At this current time, I do not feel fulfilled in my career, and I am eager to find something that brings me joy and satisfaction. However, the challenge is that I am not sure what I want to do next. I know that I do not want to return to the classroom, but beyond that, there are many unanswered questions about my career path.
Additionally, I also look forward to finding someone special to spend the rest of my life with. I am excited about the prospect of building a meaningful and loving relationship with a partner who shares my values and complements my life.
