Joshua Tree: Artwork & Poem

Oh Joshua Tree, it has been a spell
I need to visit soon, I can already tell
How I have missed you, under the sky so free
And the things I can see, make my soul flee

Meeting Lost

There once was a time of routine,

Where attending meant being seen.

But in this new age,

We sit on a virtual stage,

With faces on screens that are clean.

No longer do we gather in crowds,

Or walk through busy city ploughed.

Our meetings are online,

A new way to align,

But oh, how we miss the real sounds.

We now click the link to attend,

A virtual world we must blend.

No handshakes or hugs,

Just tiny camera shrugs,

Oh, how we long for the end.

We see each other through pixels,

But our connection is still critical.

Though it may not feel right,

It’s our reality in sight,

As we navigate this new ritual.

So let’s raise a glass to the screen,

For it’s the only way we can convene.

But soon we’ll reunite,

In person, it’ll be right,

Until then, virtual will reign supreme.

Grimm Reaper: Artwork and Poem

The Grim Reaper is a sight to see,
With cloak and scythe, as tall as can be.
He roams around with a wicked grin,
But don’t worry, he’s just here to win!

With a laugh that sends shivers down your spine,
He’s not as scary as he seems, most of the time.
So if you meet him, don’t let out a peep,
He’s just doing his job, so let him reap!

PACT

Dog Pact

There was a pack of friendly dogs,
Whose loyalty was unmatched in their logs,
They made a pact to return all the gold,
That the silly cats stole, brazen and bold,
From the pockets of their owners, in their sly, sneaky scrolls.

ELIMINATE
CONQUER
OVERCOME

To overcome social anxiety
Is a challenge,
That needs not to be conquered or eliminated.
For anxiety is not all bad;
It can be your friend,
When it does not go overboard.

Embrace the flutter of the heart,
The cautious thoughts before you start,
For in these moments, you will find,
Strength and courage in your mind.

Acknowledge anxiety’s gentle hand,
As it guides you through this unknown land.
But remember, you hold the key,
To keep anxiety where it should be.

Trust For Me

Trust is not easy for me to give,
To receive my trust is a gift.
A select few have received it from the start,
For trust is precious, like a piece of art.

It’s built on honesty, respect, and truth,
A bond that’s strong and steadfast, not a sleuth.
A treasure given to those who prove true,
For in this world, trust is rare and few.

So, if you hold my trust, hold it dear,
For it’s a testament to our bond, crystal clear.
With trust, we can conquer and thrive,
For in trust, we keep our hopes and dreams alive.

RAFT

In a daft draft, she began to craft,
A poem on a solitary raft,
Words swirling like a wild whirlwind,
On her makeshift paper, her thoughts pinned.

ANXI – Anthony’s Anxiety Poem with Artwork

-M.A.D.

Poem by Anthony

ANXI – Anthony’s Crazy Love and Life Lessons in Empathy (wordpress.com)

Clutching you when you least expect

Coldness like a Zombie’s hand

Little to do or even protect

Fear waves its toxic wand.

Heart is racing beating faster

You take deep breaths to try and cope

Your body turns to rigid, skin alabaster

As you grasp at slipping notions of hope.

It’s taken you now you’re frozen in place

Triggered and frayed like a live wire

A icy gaunt look on your face

You suffer deep in anxiety’s ire.

Its Crippling debilitating

And takes a big toll on

Endlessly contemplating

Until happiness is gone.

Many a victim doth it take

Chaining them to over thought

Trying to avoid a break

From a disaster that may be wrought.

Stand in strength and hold on fast

Strength inside far more than you know

This internal nagging will not last

Take this opportunity to grow.

Take control you got this now.

Your mind drifts back to normalcy

Taking command of your fears, wow

It’s the strongest you can be…

Pink Tree Serenity

Beneath the pink tree, I feel calm and free,

Its pretty flowers make me smile, you see.

They dance in the wind, so light and bright,

Under the tree, everything feels just right.

Screws Loose

The shrew has some screws loose.

They need to be tighten

but how can it be done.

I dont know what to do

Do I chance it and do it myself?

Or, do I leave it alone

and deal with her wrath?

Yummy Deluxe

Yummy delicious cakes

So many to choose from

Vanilla, Chocolate, Red Velvet, and many more.

Oh! which one to choose,

Too many choices

I can’t decide

Whatever will I do?

Awww, I know

I will eat them all

Nothing can go wrong with that,

Right?

Anthony’s Poem: Connie the Crossed-Eyed Crocodile with artwork

Poem by Anthony

Connie the Crossed-Eyed Crocodile – Anthony’s Crazy Love and Life Lessons in Empathy (wordpress.com)

Connie was a cross-eyed crocodile

Exploring a book took her quite a while.

She’d start left and then right

And be reading all night.

Aesop’s Fables are her style…

No one to share my thoughts, no one to hold tight
I long for connection, for someone to see
The loneliness inside me, the ache to be free

I reach out in the darkness, but no one is there
I cry out for comfort, but no one will care
I am lost in this void, this vast empty space
Alone in my loneliness, with tears on my face

But I know deep inside, that this too shall pass
That the sun will shine again, that this pain will not last
I hold onto hope, that one day I’ll find
A kindred spirit, a love that is kind

So I’ll weather this storm, this lonely night
And trust in the promise, that everything will be right
For even in my solitude, I am not truly alone
For love will find me, and make this heart its home.

Anthony’s Poem: Zach, the Forgetful Elephant and Artwork

Poem by Anthony

Zach, the Forgetful Elephant – Anthony’s Crazy Love and Life Lessons in Empathy (wordpress.com)

Zach, a young elephant was upset

Since unlike his contemporaries, he’d always forget.

Homework, notes, the ladder for his bunk

If it wasn’t attached he’d misplace his trunk.

Consuming more ginseng would be a sure bet…
